As many on here may remember I am a Spartan Fan.

I am losing my mind over the weekly stress of how they play. Yes I realize this past weekend was a blow out but that was an anomaly.

You are the only fans that know how to deal with or have dealt with years of Tressel ball. And this is what I am faced with each and every week. And I am coming to the realization that Mike Tressel is the likely next coach (I have zero inside information......just a feeling) and I am coming to realize that the all Defense no Offense life is what I am looking at for the next 15 years.

Yes it wins, and Yes this is tons better than pre-Dantonio. But it wears on your soul at times. I am wondering what to do. I know this, I do not want to start losing all the time. So I am happy with the boring winning. It beats the hell out of Exciting loses.

I am also curious to see how tOSU holds up as the season progresses. The team has looked pretty solid so far. I do not know much about Day so it is curious to see how he holds up.

I have stepped up by tailgate drinking. Which has helped. And maybe that is the answer. The issue is that when the stress really hits in the second half the buzz is wearing off.

I'm not going to bullshit you, there is zero hope. You suffer from a condition known as Acute Tresselball Fatigue (ATBF).

There is no cure. It is a living hell.

Alcohol can help manage some of the symptoms but in the end all you can do is try and stay alive until the coach's tenure ends. Even then, the flashbacks never go away.

I remember all the conversations at the time about what hell the nerds had unleashed on themselves after that '04 game.

Tress was fucking savage with Northwestern for years after that (and regardless of what he said, he was indeed running it up on them).

He broke Da U like it was no big deal but gets mid evil with Northwestern.

Nothing is more Tressel than that.

Mix some jack and coke or something in a flask and nurse it after halftime. I'm joking but also serious. I almost did this right during VaTech in 2014, but was introduced to 90 proof Crown Royal and it was a terrible night.

Also, this might be overly simplistic, but go in with low expectations. Not that they'll lose but that it'll be a constant fight. This is the only thing that really does it for me. I'm still nervous, but it doesn't wear on me as the season goes on.

Leading 31-10 early in the fourth quarter, Ohio State faced fourth-and-2 from its own 42-yard line. The Buckeyes ran a fake punt and A.J. Trapasso picked up the first down with a 9-yard gain.

"In terms of the fake punt, anyone who was there, they know that the game was far from over," Tressel said. "We had a 25 mile-an-hour wind in our face and we weren't going to punt it very far anyway.

Amazing. Just to be clear, it wasn't 'early' in the 4th. I just looked it up and there was 8:22 left. They were also basically running hurry up with only ~15 seconds between each of the last 3 plays that led to the final TD.

Of course, my traumatized 1998 brain says, to hell with you, michigan Lite, but I’ve grown and evolved and am, sort of, able to move past that.

I would like to bring the flask into play but at the MSU Stadium they frisk you like you are entering county jail not a football stadium. Which at times may be a more accurate description of what it feels like when MSU goes up by 10 points and starts the endless running plays into the center of the line......sprinkled with an occasional sweep. Then a punt. Of and don't get me started on the fair catch of every damn punt we field. Like actually gaining yards off a punt is somehow unethical and illegal.

Honestly, I thought the score was worse and was surprised when I found it. Felt like 72-0 at the time with Tress.

Sure. Keep it up. Just keep reminding us of all the times Sparty ruined seasons for the Bucks.
Just when I think I'm finally recovering from that shit, you people have to bring it all back up again.
Thanks.
