Next Generation Console News: Xbox One, PS4, Wii U

no, PS4 has better hardware....but the question that remains is will it be a big enough difference to be noticeable?

To the avg gamer, most likely not

But one thing is for certain, graphics will be much better on next gen consoles than the 360/ps3
I agree + even IF one was vastly superior to the other, won't the Devs try and make a game that is similar on both systems/port the game to another console? I would think the only place you would see a big difference between the systems would be on exclusives designed specifically for that consoles framework?

Isn't the PS3 vastly more powerful than the 360? But hard to develop for/more 360s in the market place making it more attractive (profitable) to make a game focusing around the 360?

For example: the ps3 shipped with 1080p capability, but most early games only supported 720?

I still have no clue which I'm getting. And what's crazy is I figured most websites would have more in depth reviews/comparisons of the two. I have both preordered, so I'll grab the ps4 and wait a week to hopefully hear more about both of them in depth.

Definitely won't be picking up a Next Gen console until NEXT holiday season, most likely. The launch games will surely not meet the potential of the system capabilities and the consoles themselves will likely have issues that require use of the manufacturer's warranty.

I'm thinking that I will wait until Halo 5, which should be around Oct-Nov of 2014. All the bugs should be worked out and it will give me time to see if PS4 has anything to offer, but being a big Halo fan and being so adjusted to the Xbox network I think I have already made up my mind. I'm hoping the rumors about Halo 5 are true. It's making the system look more appealing to me.

What are the halo 5 rumors? Haven't heard any
Keep in mind that these are very much only rumor at this point but...
The story line part will still be a FPS and when interacting with the enemies you will have the exact same type of game, but the mission will be more "open" sandbox style where you progress through the story in an order that you decide upon. There are a total of 8 worlds that 117 will have to visit throughout the game and the choices you make impact the flow and outcome. One of the most interesting parts is that it is being planned to be 5x longer of a story and gameplay. I'm hoping that is true based on the fact that downloads are already known to be a Huge part of both next gen consoles.

The multiplayer, which is most important to me, is being said to be broken into 2 divisions. The newer division is a big team style playlist with 32 or more, maybe even 64 players. Which would be an extreme change from traditional big team. In this division the players will have armor abilities, weapon drops, and a feel more in line with Halo 4.
In the second division you have a far more traditional play style. No armor abilities, no weapon drops but traditional weapon spawns by timed schedule, which was how it was in Halo 2 and 3. These playlist would appeal more to the 2v2, 4v4, MLG, swat,etc.. Type playlist. I would also guess that this is where rank would come into play.
The general theme among the rumors is that the game will be longer, more expansive, exploreable , self paced, and a major jump in the degree the enemies work against you. I guess the AI will be something special for you guys who love the story side of the game.

I just want a 1-50 rank again! Please 343!
