I look at Ellington and I see a kid who has the talent to dominate......can anyone tell me why he likes to just stay out on the perimeter and shoot jump shots? Everytime I watch UNC I just shake my head at his game.....

I agree... I think you could take the two H.S. teammates (Ellington and Gerald Henderson of Duke) and make a super player... Hendo's athleticism and aggressiveness with Ellington's stroke... Yikes...

I think they just let Tyler Flopsboro do all the work 19'9 and in.

Just off of the top of my little noggin perhaps it's because it's too crowded on the inside when Psycho and Thompson are both in the game together. I have watched UNC play quite a bit and have never seen him really take it to the basket. I really have no idea:)

Not me... Lofton isn't as strong and is a spot-up guy only pretty much, and Ellington can't create his own shot...

I'm taking Ellington on potential. He has shown a good shot, I beleive that he can create his own shot, he just hasn't had a chance yet. He is only a sophmore. In two years, he has the potential to be unstopable.

Buckeyes Resume NIT Play, Host Dayton in Quarter Finals
By John Porentas

The Buckeyes continue NIT play tonight when they host in-state rival Dayton at Value City Arena at 9:00 PM in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The winner of the game will continue on to New York for the final four, the loser's season will end.
Dayton is led by Toledo native Brian Roberts. The 6-2 senior guard averages 18.4 points per game to lead the Flyers. Roberts is shooting an incredible 45.5 percent from three point range.
The Flyers' began the season by winning 17 of their first 18 games. That included impressive wins over Louisville 70-65 at Louisville and Pittsburgh 80-55 at UD Arena.

Continued.....

Matta stated that Dayton was similar to Michigan State, not suprising considering where there coach came from.

I'm pretty torn here, as a lifelong OSU fan, but a UD alumnus. Part of me doesn't really care who wins, because it's just the NIT, part of me wants to OSU to win just to shut up all of the Flyers fans on UDPride bashing the Buckeyes, and part of me wants the Flyers to win because it would be big for the program.

:oh: - UD?!

Quit being a pansy and pick a team:biggrin:

I hear that those guys at UDpride are elitists anway. They just gang up on new guys and drive them away.

I hate playing in-state opponents. They always play up this "disrespect" factor that isn't even relevant - and if they beat Ohio State, they act like they won the Super Bowl. It's a game, just like any other game - only less important because it's the NIT.

I just assume that Ohio State continue to avoid in-state opponents, and let them complain about the big bad Buckeyes all day long like a whiny child looking for an ice-cream cone.
