Notre Dame -3.5 at TSUN (ov/un 55.5) Sat 8 ET, ESPN

Man, you pretty much lost all credibility with this one. He's electrifying. Granted, you don't want him to be your pocket passer, but that's not what he's about.

I think you are forgetting that the amount of socks that Denard wears shows he is not a Quarterback at all.

When Borges was at Auburn, it was noted that he needed a pocket QB for his offense to be at it's best. And his developement of making an athlete into a pocket QB was average at best. This from Auburn people.
Michigan's WRs, time and again saved Denard from interceptions. Their WRs are a strength. When they play a decent defense they will self destruct. Just like last year.

I didn't watch the game and only saw the highlights on ESPN. Seems if the DBs stay two or three yards behind the wide receivers they will have lots of opportunities at those balls that are always thrown too short. The michigan WRs definitely saved him and the game last night.

I can see them at 6 - 0 by the time they play Sparty, especially if Persa is still out at Northwestern. Then 8 - 1 before Illinois. It's the final three games that will make or break their season

BP Youngstown, Ohio

We are receiving reports from South Bend and Ann Arbor that sometime after last nights Notre Dame-Michigan game, the corpses of legendary coaches Fielding Yost and Knute Rockne have risen from their graves and are roaming the countryside in search of human brains. Apparently, the 3.51 jiggawatts of failure from the second half of last night's game was just enough to reanimate their worm-eaten, decayed bodies. When pressed for comment, Touchdown Jesus refused to confirm or deny if he, or his father were responsible for reviving the ex-alive coaches and turning them into members of the undead. But when asked about Notre Dame's defense, Touchdown Jesus was quoted as saying "They know not what they do."

Undead experts seem to agree that those who have purchased their affiliations with Notre Dame or Michigan at Wal-mart, and blondes, should have little to fear from the brain craving zombies. More fearful was Ohio's governor Kasich who released a statement saying "Ohio State students, alums and fans should use extreme caution before approaching any undead beings."

Though these reports, while seemingly accurate, leave this reporter skeptical. After witnessing the last several college football seasons, and last night's game, I believe that neither of these two formerly alive iconic coaches, nor the formerly alive iconic programs they once represented, have in fact, risen from the dead. Instead, it is more likely to be just the imagination and fantasy of the sports entertainment media located in Bristol, Conn.

This is Saw31 reporting from NE Ohio for BP and the BCNN. Good day, good luck and M*ch*g*n still sucks...

Forgive me if this has been posted before, but the ND coach handling the DBs should have been fired after the game. I've never seen a worse performance even at the high school level. Late in the game UM completed a pass to a wide receiver and there wasn't a DB with in 30 yards of him.

Why the fuck are people touting scUM

they needed a last second prayer to beat fucking NOTRE DAME

are people still trying to say Notre Dame is a good team? they are not.......the comment about their secondary running around with their heads cut off and all the opposing QB has to do is toss it withing 5 yards of the WR is totally true.....not to mention their inability to hang onto the damn football

Shoelace was 11/24 (45.8%) and threw 3 INTs........he is toast when scUM plays a capable secondary where he cant launch it up into double coverage and a WR will come down with it because the defenders have no clue what they are doing

what we saw last night was 2 mediocre teams at best..........

UM's entire second half offense primarily consisted of DR launching up lame duck jump balls and hoping the UM receivers could out play the ND DBs. Some were picked off (let's not forget DR threw 3 picks) and others went for TDs or long gains. Fortunately for UM, ND's secondary is horrid, and UM did just enough to get the W (hell, a decent DB who actually knew there was a game going on would have intercepted the game winning TD pass). This strategy wont work for long, as few secondaries will be as bad as ND's.

I apologize, but I'm not used to anybody taking that marshmallow seriously.
I think we can agree that:

1) the talent that was left him, especially on the defensive side of the ball, would make it hard for any coach to achieve success this year; and

2) he is recruiting far better than his predecessor.

No reason to give him a bunch of credit, and no reason to say that he is a bust (or that he has no chance to improve the meatweasels). Good recruiting can make up for a mediocre game day strategist, see one Leslie Grass-eating Miles.
