First off, a major warning. Holbrook's Booze Patrol Goon Squad will be out in record numbers, dumping beers and causing problems.

A Deputy Sheriff that sat in the meeting gave me the info on this. They are going to be looking in cups and essentially violating your rights all day and they expect to get away with it because tailgating takes place on university grounds. :2004:

They haven't figured out yet that the biggest contributors to the university are in this lot. They are rich old people who aren't causing problems. They are pissed off rich old people because they can longer walk to the stadium from their vehicle because it is too far for them. I am trying to obtain a list of major contributors, those who attend games and those who don't, to get a letter out to them on this subject.

We need to oust Holbrook before she ruins the gameday experience at Ohio State. The fans hate her for the booze crack down, the RV driving alumni also hate her the displacement of the lot. (The RV lot is a mile away from the stadium.) Many students hate her because she redirecting too high a percentage of funds to research and out of everday academics. They feel they aren't getting their money's worth anymore, and that its only going to get worse. scUM had to bail us out of the SBC Classic horseshit. That in itself should be reason enough to run her out of the state.

So that's the bad news. Anyone still interested in joining me and the only people that can still have fun on gameday, the Mennonites, for a day of doing nothing out fear, is welcome to come on down to the RV lot and party.
 
Where do the cops patrol? I know we will be at the Fawcett Center to tailgate...damn I'm pumped already. What are the rules? No open can or not even in a cup??

I haven't been to a home game since scUM in '02 so I am clueless here

The deputy told me they (OSUPD) will be looking in cups along with the standard search for open container. I was informed at one point by another deputy that if you have a beer in a non-see through cup, they can't say a word to you. But according to the meeting, they are going to do it anyway. I guess they are expecting that very few people will know their rights well enough to fight it. And any PR damage they take will be out weighed by any kudos she... I mean "they"... will receive for "improving" the stadium atmosphere.

holbrook is the next saddam. she has chemical weapons and has used them on her own people. i have personally been peppersprayed by this bitches stormtroopers.

she needs to be disarmed and it is time for a regime change.

if kerry or bush can do this they will win ohio for sure.

They actually watch people as they pour there libations in the cups then approach and ask POLITELY that you pour it out. Relatives been tailgating not 30 yards from the stadium and got busted last week. Cops were nice but this is really pitiful senior citizens can't pop a few when back on campus.

as for you suggestion buckeye 68, won't work, don't even try.

They are also dressing undercover and approaching tailgates and asking for a beer. If you produce one, its a $100 fine. They will be walking up to people and making them dump out a beer even if they didn't see you pour it. That was and is the point of this topic. Its not police work, its gestapo.

This is clearly entrapment. I'm not sure if cops are allowed to look into your cup or not, but if an undercover police officer asks you for a beer, then arrests/tickets you for producing one, that is clearly entrapment, and is illegal.

Oh, and by the way, fuck that cunt holebrook. I hope a toilet falls out of the sky and hits her on the head, giving her the mental capacity of an 8 year old for the rest of her life.

Since I posted on the beer drinking thread that I'm only good for 2 beers, the crackdown doesn't really apply, but all this makes me want to drink at the tailgate. What happens if, say, I'm tipping an O'douls in a clear cup ?

I think I may send a tailgate invitation to Holbrook. Does she remind anyone else of Sue Johannsen ?
