Just love the downfield blocking our stud receivers display weekly.

of all the catches Olave made on Saturday his best play was the downfield blocking to spring Jaxon Smith-Njigba free for the TD. Picked up 2 critical blocks to clear the way.
Not to bring up another crazy bunch of posts, but, this is the reason JSN moved ahead of Williams and he went south. They stress that blocking first and then route running over the other things. That's why they are the best room in the country

In 2021, no position group in college football was better than Ohio State's wide receivers.

FootballScoop is proud to announce that Brian Hartline (Ohio State) is the 2021 FootballScoop Wide Receivers Coach of the Year, presented by AstroTurf as selected by prior winners.

To put it simply, the Ohio State wide receiver room was the best of its kind in college football. Take any position group on any team, and they all measure up short to the damage the Buckeye wideouts did to opposing secondaries in 2021.
