Ohio Stadium nickname question: is "The Shoe" offensive to anyone?

Whatever happened to @luckobucko anyway? Does he still read the posts?
I don't post here (or anywhere else for that matter) all that often, but I do like to read the posts and check the various OSU boards regularly and I have question for you guys: is anyone offended when Ohio Stadium is referred to as "the Shoe"? It seems like once a week or so, someone on the O-Zone calls it "the shoe" and a group of posters go into a conniption fit saying its disrespectful, call it the horseshoe, etc. To me, whether someone calls it Ohio Stadium, the horseshoe, or the shoe, anyone that calls themselves a college football fan knows what you're talking about. "The Shoe" isn't offensive or flaming, it doesn't berate Columbus or belittle OSU - so what's the big deal?

Let's get back to the real point; this 'Shoe business. In my days on campus we always referred to it as the Horseshoe, or we would say that Ohio Stadium was shaped like a horseshoe. We said "do not" and "can not" "would not" and "should not."

It's millennials. They don't want to work. They whine about "student debt" as if they never thought about working in a GM plant for a summer to get enough money together to pay for a year of school. Do that four times and, viola! you've got a bachelor's and you're not up to your eyeballs in bills. But no,millenials want to blame banks and their parents. They're too lazy to speak whole words. I laugh out loud as they lol. I laugh my ass off as they rotflmao. Too lazy to say whole words, they want to reduce our language to anagrams and to that I say FUJIMO! And the TV shows they watch... you wouldn't catch my generation watching "reality TV." We had real shows with a a real script and actors who could breath life into their characters like the ones on Beverly Hilbiliies or Gilligan's Island and Petticoat Junction.

Where was I? Oh, yeah. Millennials, lazy ass millennials. That's who started all this 'Shoe shit. Where'd my beer get off to?

Hard to work at the GM plant when it's in Mexico or Canada.
