I gotta also give credit to Matt Millen for calling a good game. When I saw he was calling the game I cringed. Nevermind the fact that he's a Penn State alum - I've watched some of his games the last few weeks and he's turned in some duds. He kept it low-key and even-handed all evening.

This was one of the first games in a long time where the announcers weren't overly annoying for me. We'll be listening to this crew again next week for Iowa as well.

HELL of a game from every aspect. Offense, defense and special teams. This TEAM continues to improve and I can't wait to see what the weeks ahead have in-store for us. Great job fellas!!!!

Scout.com: *Original PSU-OSU trash talking thread and prediction thread!*

Guess it was "gay enough" to beat their asses by 17 points on their home field...and yeah, that IS me on the far right. Fuck Penn State.

I had to make sure I went back and read the first half thread to see what the reaction was to Penn State's awarded TD. I normally keep it calm and cool during the games - I think I manage to take on the demeanor of the coach when I watch the games. I broke out of that when I saw Penn State kick the PAT with no review - I chucked my hat, yelled and kicked the coffee table. I bitched about it during the whole commercial break. They go to replay right away on a ton of plays are far more obvious than that one. Then they come back from commercial and they're kicking the damn extra point again. They managed to get the replay, and still got it fucking wrong.

I understand the whole indisputable evidence thing, but on far too many of these things there's either too much thinking or not enough thinking going on. He clearly didn't get the ball in on the strecth, and then he tucks it and goes into the pile and you can't see the ball. I guess they said that since you couldn't see the ball at that point, there's no chance for it to be indisputable. I call bullshit on that. You may not be able to see where the ball IS, but you can sure as hell see where it IS NOT.

I'm glad that didn't end up being a factor.

Same. I usually take it in stride, but was pissed.. audibly pissed when they went to break that there was no review.

The thing about that review... if the refs are supposed to call what they see... well.. they didn't see the ball cross the plane either. That is, the ball stretch is probably what the official called a TD, and that was clearly not it. And, since the replay couldn't see the ball when tucked, neither could the official.
