False... I took off the stupid OSU socks my parents bought me for Christmas. That was their first, and last, involvement with OSU sporting events :)

Burn them!!!! Don't even leave them around on the off-chance that you might put them on by accident!

BKB, I think you're playing a little bit of a monday morning QB here. No doubt several posters (myself included, no doubt) made some comments that we regret having said now. But if you are honest with yourself, I'd imagine that you (as well as the rest of Buckeye Nation) also had a few choice words about the Buckeyes when we were down 20 last night.

Have you ever seen me post reactionary stuff in game threads? No. I post the same way I think (Considering my participation in the RWSF thread, you should fear me, btw... :p)

I'd like to think that those of us who posted critical comments last night have the ability to assess what we said and to realize that we should think twice before doing so in the future.

:tibor:

That surely explains why some of our repeat offenders go off like this on every game thread that isn't a blow-out in OSU's favor.

Accordingly, I feel that your (and several other posters') critiques of others are nothing more than paternalistic, holier-than-thou posts that do nothing useful and otherwise take away from this great time that we Buckeye fans are now experiencing.

Paternalistic - takes two to tango, junior.
Holier-than-thou - again... please cite me to any game whining I've done
Do nothing - What was that you said about being able to learn lessons, etc?

Still recovering from last night. My heart started beating heavy again as I read over this thread. That game was fucking beautiful.

I was at BW3's here in Vegas and it was a large anti-OSU crowd (not vols fans, just anti-buckeye) I had one cutie from C-bus and another fan of OSU on My side.

FUCK THE HATERS!!!!!!! OSU STILL LIVES!

To be honest, that first half felt like I was watching the MNC game all over again. One team looked a step quicker and couldn't do anything wrong, while the other looked totally complacent and couldn't do anything right. However, to his credit, Matta went in at halftime, assessed the situation, chewed some ass and made adjustments that were lacking on January 8th.

Accordingly, I feel that when you and your ilk act like this (in every thread has a little bit of game tension) you are doing nothing useful and otherwise take away from this great site that we have built here.

This is a homer board where we avoid the typical "sky is falling" crap...

There are dozens of other places you can go to cry in your beer...this is not the place.

Next time instead of critiquing the offenders, we will simply ban you for a period of time to make the message clear.

Is that holier-than-thou enough? As always, if you don't like it, take your ass elsewhere.

And, I'd also add.....

Game threads have their begining in some poster taking the initiative to do a kind of play by play for those less fortunate BP members who were stuck at work, or what have you. It was never for people to bitch and moan about whatever. Just the facts v. Eveyone's opinion.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how well you play...when the other team is redhot, you just ride out the storm and hope to make the most of your next chance.
tenn played a great first half. .60 from 3land and .56 from the floor, while going plus five on the boards.

2nd half wasnt the tale of two games that some people are claiming. tenn still played a good second half. they shot .40 from the floor and .44 from deep, outrebounded by 4.

at the worst point you had a 21 point (7 trips) game. with more than half the game left. in a game that was being played at about a 75 to 80 possession pace. that presented an interesting dilema. do you countinue to play at that pace in your natural style or do you slow it up and try and shorten the game and play outside of your comfort zone. we all saw what happened.

i guess thats why i was calm the whole time. granted i was at someone elses house and everyone else was flipping out. (have i ever mentioned that i hate to watch games in groups/bars?)
