Game Thread Ohio State @ Rutgers - 11/16/19, 3:30PM (BTN)

The more I think about it, I’m kind of annoyed by how bad Rutgers is. Like, you’re a good academic institution in New Jersey; you should get at least a runt’s share of the east coast talent and you ... don’t — not even close. I want to be excited to see OSU take the field for each game of the season and this week I literally just want to get it over with — and have no injuries.

I already mentioned the injury issue, but the spoiled fan in me is annoyed by this game at this point. Anxious to face off against what really stands in our way.

Did I read correctly that Schiano‘s demands included an indoor practice field? They have to have indoor facilities right? If not, stuff like that would go a long way to answering any questions about why they have issues recruiting the runt’s share.

Going to adopt “runt’s share” in my lexicon by the way. Thanks.

I think I read that all they have is a bubble or inflatable type dome. They also don't have any kind of "football only" facility.

Edit....Guess I was wrong. They Have The Hale Center.

But apparently no full indoor practice facility.

So what that amounts to is the Woody minus the indoor field add practice bubble. Not terrible, but hardly competitive with the rest of the B1G. Heck, even Purdue has an indoor practice facility.

Yeah. And honestly, I don’t blame him. He’s setting himself up for failure if he doesn’t motivate the university to invest in the program. His name alone won’t get anything noteworthy done. I have no expectations for them ever being a consistent conference contender but they should at least toy around wth bowl eligibility with the accidental 8th win on occasion.

And no problem.
