Game Thread Ohio State vs. Bowling Green, 09/03/16 @ 12pm ET, BTN

This wasn't a 1 AA either... that offense will put up some points on other teams.

BESIDES that pick 6... that was one of the best performances yet
BGSU was #4 in total offense last year at 547 yards per game, and #6 in scoring offense at 42 points per game. Today: 244 yards and three offensive points.

I'll give my post-game thoughts but they'll be brief since my computer is RIP and I'm going mobile. I'll come back and edit to add some other thoughts. My thoughts, in no order of relevance:

1) Might as well put my general thoughts first. Damn this team is talented. I'm not surprised with how we have recruited but seeing it in action was a treat. BG is generally a good team and has given us issues in the past. Anyone dismissing this big win needs to remember that.

2) Joe Burger might be our best linebacker, seriously. Man he looked fantastic out there. Always was hoping he would show out and he made the most of every opportunity he was given. I feel very confident in his play.

3) I hope we stay healthy on the OL because that first unit looks fantastic. Price and Elflein are legit studs but Jordan looked amazing out there, as did Jones and Prince. Not only dominant run blocking, but JT had all day to throw.

4) Really, really, really impressed with the secondary. Hooker is going to be a first rounder, calling it now...kid is out of this world talented. But Lattimore was like glue on receivers for the most part. Webb played fantastic and Ward had some nice plays. Of course Conley is a rock star. Coombs is doing a great job with those young guys.

5) Mike Weber is no joke, he's going to be an outstanding back here. So instinctive and powerful. Very cool to see his parents' reaction to him being named a starter, he really earned it.

6) Skilled positions on offense are so stocked. We have a 3-deep at receiver. So glad to see Dontre break through, hope he has a huge year and I think he will. Cool to see KJ Hill get the first TD, I don't even think he was listed on the two deep. Samuel is going to be the star of this offense (outside of JT of course).

7) Speaking of JT, he looks improved and ready for a Heisman run. He needs to eliminate some mistakes but maybe my favorite part of his game was that he barely ran and took very few hits. Please keep that up.

8) Breaks my heart on Sprinkle. Not necessarily because he was our best DT, but because he's worked so hard to get there and his season is over after one quarter in the first game. Really hope we have some good depth at DT because we're going to need it.

After giving some thought about what I saw yesterday...

I agree with just about everything everyone else has mentioned. I do want to add one thing that I wouldn't mind hearing all year.

1. Tight coverage. I mean seriously how nice was it not to see our guys lined up 10-15 yards away, just to watch the opposing QB throw multiple 5 yard passes every drive?
