The reality is you do not want a starter (especially Fields) in a game and getting hurt when the outcome has already been decided (i.e. up 4 - 5 scores in the middle of the 3rd quarter). Also, the back ups that work their butts off during practices want, need, and deserve some playing time too.

My immediate thought walking out of Memorial Stadium on Saturday was “I don’t think there’s a number high enough for Ohio State next week vs. Miami”

I was thinking maybe start at 45.5 and wouldn’t have been surprised to see it climb from there. Also wouldn’t be scared to lay that number, personally.

Up to -40 now.

As good a spot as any for my weekly PSA; this season, that's starting to look like it could be pretty special, is a razor thin distance from total dogshit if Fields gets hurt.

Polo Fredo is very likely the last team on the schedule we can beat with one of the backup QB's playing the whole game.

I know the sample size is incredibly small but Chugonov and Hoak look good enough to still get us 10 wins, imo. That would be a massive disappointment from preseason expectations, but we wouldn't be a clown show like FSU or UT

I personally do not like our chances if a B1G team, other than Rutgers, gets to actually gameplan for one of them.

Let's pray to our Lady the sweet Scarlet Hayes of the Horseshoe that we never have to find out.
