Game Thread Ohio State vs TCU (Arlington, TX) - 09/15/18, 8:00PM (ABC)

They’ve probably kept their defense as vanilla as possible to start the season; I’m inclined to believe they’re going to throw a lot of blitz packages at Dwayne. Remember, as good as he’s looked, he’s inexperienced too — but he’s a rightfully confident player.

Not having Meyer is unfortunate but without sounding too arrogant, I’m confident Day, Wilson, Schiano and Grinch can outcoach the fuck out of Patterson and co.

Just because they were suspect last week doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be sharp against us.

I don't think I've heard a single complaint about the play calling this year, which is highly unusual for Ohio State fans the past year. This Day guy could be something special

I was texting with my OSU buddy yesterday during the game how the play calling has been very nice this year. Just a good flow. The only ever so slight complained I can even muster up is the run game looked a little "off" yesterday.
I actually give Rutgers credit for slowing down the run game. They're obviously not super talented, but I do think that Ash has them playing solid and aggressive fundamental defense. It especially showed to me when they kept successfully stretching out efforts to run wide and stuffing bootleg flat passes.

What would be your too early guess?

I only ask, because that KillerHorns site had me looking for something more plausible.

Pre season future bets were somewhere around OSU -17 iirc

If it's any less than that I may have to seriously consider hammering it

I think this is an ass beating

EDIT

sorry no, it was like -12

I would hammer anything laying 10 points or less

Isn't this what we were told every time we played Oregon?

man, there was a day when the MAC teams would spend the summer trying to convince themselves of it (on our boards of course).

By account of fans who listen to people like Herbstreit, OSU has never seen/can't handle the speed of the SEC, PAC 12, Big 12, ACC, All American conference of America, MAC or any heretofore unnamed place outside of the midwest (in that order).

I remain mystified by how OSU continues to find a way to win games and put so many slow guys into the NFL.
