Game Thread Ohio State vs Wisconsin - 10/26/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

I have been obsessed with OLED technology since before most people knew it was a thing. In the early 2000s, I worked for a company that made rugged PDAs and computers for the military. I REALLY wanted to specify OLED technology, as it answers a fair few unique challenges that MIL-SPEC equipment must accept. The problem was that the largest OLED displays at the time were 4" diagonal, made by Sony, and not available for resale on the OEM market. There were a lot of challenges ahead of Sony and LG to make the displays bigger and able to handle full motion and high definition.

In 2007, I finally gave in and bought an HD tv. It was a 50" plasma. I wanted an OLED, but they were a decade away from being a thing.

Fast forward to Wednesday of this week. Moving in to a new house, my stingy side finally gave in and I retired the 50" plasma after 12 years of great service. I finally got my OLED, a 65" LG C9. (I know many of you have better TVs, but daddybigbucks is an ironic name and I'm cheap on top of it. For me this is a big deal)

Long story long, THIS game... THIS masterpiece... THIS was the first game I ever watched on this masterpiece of a tv that I have wanted for longer than most people have known the technology existed.

What a day.
