Writer’s Prediction

Wisconsin wins, 63-61.

Needless to say, Ohio State's only chance of getting to the "Big Dance" this season is winning 5 games in 5 days (i.e. the B1G Tournament) and the only 2 predictions (from gambling sites) that I found have them losing a close one to Cheese..

All we have to do is win the entire B1G tourney to get in...cue the Lloyd Christmas "you're saying there's a chance" meme. But in all seriousness, it would be nice to win a couple games and have some semblance of confidence going into next year. We played much better in the last few games and I know it probably feels like moral victories, but this season was over a long time ago and seeing the possible success could be important to the guys coming back. I hope all the players coming back and incoming recruiting class share the sentiment that we could be very good next year.

Agree with RB, in that there'll be a solid core of sophomores next year. With the freshmen four (or five if Bronnie shows up), Holtmann will have to get them blooded quickly, and yeah, tOSU will be a handful to deal with. Believe we'll be upper B10, and when current frosh are juniors, it'll be title-time again. Just a 'way too early' look...

We got outmatched several games this year when the opposition had a really good big center. Okpara is coming on; but probably can't play 40 minutes every game. I'd like to see Holtmann get a true center out of the transfer portal. I know 3★ Austin Parks (6' 10") is in the 2023 class; however, he may take a year or 2 to develope.

That was a problem without a doubt. We need at least one more big center to help Okpara...he is very talented but just needs a little support. I think we will see big leaps the next 1-2 years from Felix though. All about strides from the the younger guys right now.

College weight room and nutrition should do wonders in the strength department

“You’re going into a tournament and you’re trying to win he tournament, no matter where you’re at," Gard said. "We know we have Ohio State on Wednesday night indwell prepare for them Monday and Tuesday. You have to get the first one before you go onto the second one, so I think keeping that approach just like we’ve done throughout the year. Just have to go one game at a time.”

Lot's of other comments too.

I don't doubt this team is motivated to win this tournament; however, the draw is probably the worst possible scenario. It appears to me the Buckeyes could draw the hardest possible matchup at every round.

Do my eyes deceive me or is Ohio State a 2 point favorite over a team projected to be right on the bubble for the NCAA tournament. Just kind of shows you we wasted our talent this year. Hope these guys don't bolt for the NBA (looking at you Mr Sensabaugh)

Only thing it tells me is the money is on Ohio State so they're trying to get money back on Wisconsin. That's all it says.
