Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Watching yesterday... was pretty amazing how many 6th and 7th year wrestlers... couple were 25 years old...
Don't know what rock I've been under but when did a takedown go for 3?
I believe it was implemented this year? No longer than 2 years though. I love it, reward wrestlers who are aggressive on their feet. Same goes for 4 near fall points, though I believe that started further back.

Mendez hits the freaking spladle on Hardy in the 3rd to get a 10-2 MD! I have never seen that move work at the NCAA level, even Mendez said he hadn't hit it since his first year of wrestling haha. Hardy was stuck as stuck could be and Mendez could just hold it to ride out the 3rd since he was in nearfall position (i.e., no stalemates allowed there). That will be a highlight reel move for the rest of the tourney.

A thing of beauty! (Why no back points though?!)

Rocco finally gets Ruth's number and beats him 4-1 in SV! Great job Rocco! That was freaking fun to watch. We have at least 2 in the Semis and that moves us up to #5 in the team race (will be short lived, but still).

#2 seed DeVos got upset by the #7 seed. Rocco has a real shot to get in the finals as a true frosh. I swear he has just improved so much over the course of the season.

Is Carter dinged up? I thought he was, but then he also looked like he took down Lewis with ease...

Mendez gets former Buckeye, Anthony Echemendia in the semi's. I haven't followed him since he left, but I was a bit surprised to see him here.

Carter is banged up really bad, I'm surprised he beat Lewis. That's how good he is though.

Ech has finally adapted to folkstyle and he's looking like the wrestler we expected to see. Will be a tough match but I like Mendez with how he looks.
