OL J.B. Shugarts (official thread)

As I said before I think the Shugarts are having a real hard time telling any coach that they are out of it, but the differences between this situation and the Barksdale situation are so great that they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath.

Not that I find it surprising but it's interesting to see that coaches do in fact log on to scout and rivals to look for updates or quotes from recruits.

Shugarts will tell you that there are some drawbacks to naming names on your leader board. When other schools see that they didn't make the cut they usually turn up the recruiting pressure. For Shugarts though, it's really been a top five or six for him all long. "I made a top four, but when that happened all of the colleges that weren't on that list started recruiting me like crazy,? By BK... JB says that tOSU and LSU are his leaders. He will be in Columbus Friday through Sunday for the spring game, and will meet up with Adams, Stoneburner, and Brewster.

A little surprised that Oklahoma isn't one of the leaders after all the info that's been around... Very good news for the Bucks IMO...

This is an example of a situation where I would love to know which interview was done first...

From the Oklahoma site...names the usual top 6 and talks at length about what interests him about Oklahoma and again the Oklahoma reporter works the McGuffie angle.

I am surprised as well because I had been hearing Oklahoma had the slight edge but that was before his visit to LSU and that went really well. Either way, I expect OSU to come out as the leader after the spring game and it is a very big visit.
