Has O-Lineman Justin Boren Made His Decision?
By The GoBlueWolverine Staff GoBlueWolverine.com
Date: Apr 7, 2005

In a tough recruiting battle between rivals, the rumors tend to fly. Such is the case with Ohio O-Liner Justin Boren, the son of a Wolverine who is living in Columbus. The latest rumor: that Boren has made his decision.

Is it true? When GoBlueWolverine heard the rumor, we went to Justin himself
Justin says he has NOT made a decision and is completely torn 50-50 between OSU and Michigan. He hopes to make a decision in August.

We look great with all of the Big 3. We look great with the next Big 3 as well.

Ohio is stocked this year with top notch OL. The coaching staff is well aware of what is going on with Boren and all the others--and confidence is extremely extremely high.

Don't anyone get freaked out by Boren's immediate reaction after a trip to AA--Boren will be a Buckeye.
If logic is worth anything here, it stands to reason that the buckeyes are in great shape with Boren. Boren grew up a MICHIGAN FAN. He and his father routinely went to games when he was a kid growing up. He goes to a spring practice and watches them practice and gets face time with the head coach and position coach.

Now why would ANY rational person be the least bit suprised that Jason came back to Columbus impressed? You should be the least bit suprised. What should suprise you is that Jason hasn't named them a leader!

That tells me the kid loves the staff at OSU. That tells me he really likes the idea of staying at home. I believe when its all said and done, Jason will don the scarlet and gray.

A Tough Decision Awaits Justin Boren
By Don Hoekwater Columnist/Photographer
Date: Apr 19, 2005

Pondering a decision possibly akin to whether it is best to jump into the frying pan or the fire, offensive lineman Justin Boren of Pickerington, Ohio North High School has his school choices down to two bitter rivals, with repurcussions arising from either choice. Boren spoke with GoBlueWolverine Magazine Tuesday about his impending dilemma.

Justin has 17 offers at this point, Yet he has narrowed down his choice of schools to two longstanding and bitter rivals - Michigan and Ohio State. Rumors have been running rampant saying he has already made his decision, but he states he has not committed to anyone. Justin also mentions he will not be at OSU's spring game and that he needs to sit down with his family and decide whats best for him.

Justin Boren is a beast. I like the idea of being close to home. Also, with the possibility of OSU landing,(and I am reaching on this one, and its my opinion) the best offensive linemen out of Ohio in a loooong time, I am just drooling over the potentialities!!!!! Wow!

Any worried about this?

Is anyone a little worried that Justin won't be attending this weekend's S&G game? Is it possible that he's already made up his mind and he wants to avoid the pressure from the OSU camp? I'm a little nervous about this guys.. the game is being played right in his backyard and he's chosen not to attend. This would be a good opportunity for him to meet some of the other Buckeye recruits and maybe get a jumpstart on forming some friendships with some of those guys. I don't know, maybe I'm a little paranoid, but it does seem strange. Plus, his latest update was his interview with GBW yesterday. What gives?

I am not worried at all, he has been on campus countless times and met the staff and players.....no worries here.

My guess is he knows everything he needs to know, has been to both places enough, and just doesn't want the added pressure of each staff/players persuading him to go there. He has enough food on his plate to last him a while, no sense in going back for seconds.
