OL Justin Boren (Official Thread)

how confident is Nevada at this moment?
Very.

Remember, this interview was done by scUM reporters...there is an expected slant. I truly believe the kid is torn, but I also believe he knows what he wants.

The statement about being 15 minutes from home is very telling for me....

He said he likes the tradition at Scum. According to Rivals, his visit to Scum impressed him and he moved Scum up to the top with tOSU.
I highlighted the key words. If they arent the clear top choice after another visit, how.

Agree with someone else that posted, this is a scUM site that interviewed him right after the visit. Do we really think they are going to ask him detailed questions pertaining to OSU? If he was scUM bound, with his father being a serious alumni, I would have thought he would have made the decision by now. I think he made these promises to attend games, unofficial visits, Nike Camp, etc and went through with them.

In a month, he will be part of the S&G.

Isn't Scum's tradition to lose three games a year?
I almost missed this comment, thanks for the Monday morning laugh.

In case anyone missed it Boren's numbers with the weights are close to science fiction. This kid is the bull of the woods. The track he ran the 5.2 on is known as a slow venue.

As far as I'm concerned, he's the number one recruit left on the whole board, and that's a very strong statement.

Justin spent an hour and a half in Ann Arbor with little Woody. That doesn't augur very well for the good guys IMHO. And he announces that he's nearly ready to announce immediately after returning from his trip up north. Hm-m-m.

I don't know who this Nevada guy is (except by his excellent reputation), but I'm hoping he knows something very special, because the tea leaves are all lining up the other way.

FWIW Nevadabuck's latest report (post Nike Camp) is that the OSU coaches are very aware of the situation and are on top of it. However, he seemed appreciably less confident, calling the situation "fluid."

usually when you are down to 2 schools and you visit your second school, you should have an easy time making the decision. that doesnt mean it goes one way or the other....but if you have 2 things to pick from and look at them both, you're going to come to a decision after looking at the second one regardless of what the decision is.
