color me excited for all of this. ive never seen olympic hockey in person... even more so with olympic talent on the north american sheet, none of this euro stuff. i expect a few outburst of incredible river hockey...

USA just had a power play. Generated one shot, despite having the puck in the offensive zone pretty much the whole time.

Switzerland is playing tough. More physical. The Parise/Stastny/Kane line looks legit. Kane is Team USA's best player right now. Defense looking a little shaky.

EDIT: Kane hasn't looked all that great since that PP.

GOAL!! Bobby Ryan!

What a goal by David Backes. Just blew by the Swiss d-man. Pretty sure Ryan Miller got an assist on that one too. :banger:

2-0 USA. They're looking a little better this period. Miller had a couple a nice save to set up the goal. Don't hear that very often.
