Game Thread Orange Bowl: tOSU vs Clemson, Jan 3, 8:30 ET, ESPN

well once again I am not upset but I am just very content with what we are as a football program. A team that can keep pace on offense but one with a defense that you normally associate with programs like Illinois, Purdue, or at best Nebraska. I'm done asking for the defensive coaches to be fired because if Urban cannot see that's what holds this team back then thats on him and he'll have to live with a defense that plays 10+ yards off the ball and plays afraid. Should we look else wear for defensive coaches that have a clue? Absolutely, but I'm not holding my breath.

As far as players coming back etc. I look forward so eagerly to the players we have next year that were red shirted this year for some reason? Mike Mitchell, Johnson, Hill, and now with Raekwon coming in as well with Booker following suite as well.

Side note I really don't care what Braxton does for next year. If he stays cool, grand, awesome. If he goes, I'm fine with this as well because this offense to really be dangerous needs someone that is capable of throwing the football and I for one can't wait to see what JT Barrett brings as far as his leadership.

By "many" All Pro offensive lineman, I assume you mean Nick Mangold? :p

Brewster, Boren, Adams, Sims, Cordle, Boone, Barton, Bentley, Clarke, Datish, Olivea, Mangold, Stepanovich, and Walter if I didn't miss any of them. Maybe not all All Pros but a lot of these guys have been solid starters and that is a lot of talent on the O-line in a ten year span that Bollman coached the line. 14 guys? And we couldn't seem to block anyone for that decade.

One play..muffed punt. We were up 9, a 20pts unanswered and were dominating, and the muffed punt turned the entire game around.

The last 3 games, the stats are totally inflated. We were killed on screen passes. That's it. We stop a few screens here and there and the whole end of the season is different. We were the better team, IMO, but one play really turned this game around.

That was one tough SOB
"Tex" was one rotten SOB! Sadly, Brax had to take the beat down tonite that Tex took every night he went into the ring.

Hope his ribs are okay. Love this kid and the fight that he brings. Brax at TOSU in 2014 = A spot in the 4 team bracket. Future is bright, lets put this game behind us and look to the great future ahead!

Peace

Well, sure if you want to change from All Pro to productive NFL players, I'' give you that, although.....I see only Sims, Boone, and Mangold as solid starters, with the jury still out on Adams. The other guys are career-long backups or injury fill-ins.

Why? we all knew this was coming didn't we???

This message board for the last 4 weeks has said been close to unanimous in that we expected their offense to just straight up embarrass us. and thats exactly what happened.
The D actually played better than I expected (how sad is that?).

They got several stops and the interception by Barnett at the end was HUGE. I think it's going to leave a mark because not only was the defense terrible, but the O got shot up as well. This was the EXPERIENCED offense. With the O line, Hyde, Braxton being more "comfortable" with the O. If this season is Braxton being comfortable then color me unimpressed with Braxton Miller. Next season with a whole new O line and no Hyde will be very interesting to watch.

Could have used Dave a bit more tonight too...
Unlike the inexcusable abandonment of Dave & Hyde down the stretch in Indy, Dave was not working very consistently tonight. Hyde still got it rolling but many of those were just heart and vision, not the usual Dave dominance.
