TX DB Lejond Cavazos is visiting for the Spring Game per buckeyenews.net. Offers from Bama, USC, most of the SEC.
We’ve talked a little bit about Cameron Martinez, an intriguing young wide receiver prospect from Muskegon, Mich. Last Friday he made his second trip to Ohio State in a month, and he was happy to again see former NFL player Brian Hartline working with the Buckeyes coaching staff.
“I talked to Hartline for a bit and he liked the improvements I’ve made from the last camp,” Martinez told Land of 10. “We talked about my last performance at the June 9th camp, when I got offered by Buffalo.”
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound 2020 prospect — who plays quarterback for Muskegon Central Catholic and won a state title as a freshman — also got to meet Zach Smith. He hopes it’s not the last time he talks to the Buckeyes wide receivers coach.
“It was my first time meeting Coach Smith,” he said. “He told me that I had a good performance at camp and he was impressed. He got my contact information after the camp and said they want to stay in touch. He also knew who I was before I said anything, when we met.
“I wish we could’ve talked more and worked closer together in the one-on-ones, but there’s plenty of time.”
