Parking suggestions for quick getaway?

Zippercat

Legend
One of our party has to catch a flight home from CMH after the UAB game. His flight is scheduled to leave at around 5:40 pm. No bags to check and he has priority status with the airline.

We usually park at the Fawcett Center and stick around for a while after the game. By the time we get back to the lot, Olentangy River Road is pretty much at a stand still...but we're not in a hurry and don't care. BUT, this week we obviously need to make a quicker getaway.

Would appreciate any suggestions on best way to get him to the airport in time...short of leaving before the game ends, of course. THANKS!

If you don't mind walking a little bit to and from the stadium, parking on Summit (as long as you get there early enough to get a spot on the street) and then rolling down to 670 after the game would probably work relatively well.

Either that or park someplace where you can easily get to Summit relatively quickly. It is a one way street going south with easy access to 670 E and the airport. Traffic usually flows relatively smoothly even when things get busy.

Edit: now that I think about it, you might want to double check access to 670 from Summit (and from pretty much everywhere) due to the massive amount of construction that is going on right now.

FWIW, After the opening of Ohio Stadium, Ohio Field was torn down. It was located on North High Street, between 17th and Woodruff Avenues. Presently, the space is occupied by Arps Hall, Ramseyer Hall and a parking garage.
