Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

If they thought Ohio State was going to continue to lose to Indiana then they are even more stupid than I already think they are....
Come on, now...cut the Pedsters some slack. It's not like Ohio State had won 23 straight and had gone 30-0-1 against Indiana before those two losses...

Wait...is this a real thing? Wasn't that the game we won 63-14? And were up...42-7 at half? 49-7 at half?

Let them explain how the flow of the game was changed.

That was also the game in which Urban Meyer challenged a spot and the Cult went ballistic for why Meyer didn't just let the bad call stand in favor of the Pedsters. I mean, how could a bad call in favor of the Pedsters even happen, since the refs screw them over so bad and Ohio St/Michigan get every favorable call from the crooked Big 10 refs?

It was nice of the refs to send that "your check bounced" message as a warning in a call that was easily rectified, though. It says "Hey, be more careful" and I think it shows some respect for the relationship, both past and going forward.

Yes, but the momentum was about to swing. If not for those crooked refs, it would have been a great comeback win for them. Do you even Ped State Cult, bro?

Right - I think it was early in the game. Maybe Ohio State was up 14-0. If that got called, I believe their story is that the could have scored. Instead, Ohio State scored. 21-0 is way different from 14-7.
In their defense, I don't think any of them actually hold any faith in that. But I HAVE seen it on there as a complaint about referees.
The one about the touchdown that they reversed and put it on the 1 - I've seen that complained about, too, but no one cares about that.
Way more than either of those is the time when Urban challenged the spot. The original call on the field was that they converted the fourth down attempt. Replay showed that they failed to convert. Call overturned, and Ohio State got the ball, already up 63-7 or 63-14. What a dick for running up the score! Add the onside kick at the end of the half (it wasn't a botched squib kick, or anything like that - it was an attempt to get the ball back for a hail mary before the half. Of course, since Penn State got the ball, THEY had the chance for the hail mary - and a much easier one than Ohio State would have had), and you get that Ohio State was running up the score. Compare that to the 1994 game when Penn State won by the exact same score, and that was just Joe Paterno being a much better coach than John Cooper. And the players were much better. And Penn State COULD HAVE won by a lot more, but they took their feet off the gas. That doesn't fit the fact that the halftime score was closer in 1994 than the 2013 game, meaning that Penn State needed to score more in the second half in 1994 than Ohio State did in 2013. If anyone took the foot off the gas, it was Urban Meyer and Ohio State in 2013.

Robbie Gould. That was the year somebody broke my OSU car flag off my car window.

2003. At that time I didn't know much about Penn State. I knew that the players were thugs in the late 90s, but I had respect for Joe Paterno (I bought into his hype, unfortunately), and after 2003 I had heard nothing but praise for their fans. Truly good fans - great to fans of visiting teams, etc. So I liked Penn State.
Then 2005 happened and I thought, "Well, at least they still have a respectable coach." So much for that.
Anyway, I may always remember than 2003 game for how wrong the reports I heard were about the coach. I can't even remember who I heard those reports from - I don't know anyone who would have gone to that game.

A friend of mine played at Ped State and loved that coaching staff. He made some bad decisions with his support of them after the Sandusky exposure. . He felt he owed them some loyalty. I find that shocking based on everything that came out.

That was also the game a guy poured beer on my mom's head because she stood up to cheer for a TD with the rest of us. My mom couldn't tell you anything about football or Ohio State past what she's picked up from us watching games......she doesn't care. But she went wtih us, and when we all stood to clap for a TD, she got the brunt of some piece of shit's fragile psyche. All those reports people keep coming back from Penn State games with that you see on message boards are surely accurate. It's because those people aren't Ohio State fans. Of course Penn State fans will be nice to Minnesota and Purdue. The story changes when they're likely to lose the game.
