Penn State vs Ohio State: Thursday, March 10th @ 9 PM on the BTN

Whose morale though, really? The team or the fans?

This team knows what they can do when they have all of their players - they've shown it. Another game with a beat up roster, just to lose, isn't going to change that.

At this point, feeling confident that we'll get our bid to the Dance, I don't see the benefit of another BTT game.
The way they look tight in the 2nd half of these games makes me think the team could use a close win for some momentum. No one looks confident doing anything - it’s a mess late game.

But yeah. Maybe the physical and mental break of this condensed schedule will pay better dividends.

On to March Madness. Strange things can happen with a full week off. Hope a refreshed Buckeye team shows up.

(Sad trombone)

Doesn't bother me. We had our fun last year, big run to the BTT final, and lost it in the end. Just played 4 games in 4 days for nothing.

I'd rather have a week off, hope to get guys healthy, and not get bounced in the first round of the NCAAs.

This team beat Duke and won at Illinois but fell apart at the seems down the stretch. I know Young and Key have missed time but Penn freaking State................

But last season OMG great BTT run...then lost to a 15 seed.

I'm glad to be out of the conference tournament. A garbage win over PSU only to lose another game does nothing for this team. Rest is our best option.

Welp, no real hope left. They were up by 13 in the first half and 11 early in the second, only to get their asses completely beat by a team that was three games under .500. Pedsters scored twice as many points in the second half as they did in the first, while we scored a couple more in the second half. I really hate losing, but to lose to a shitty Pedster team--that we had already beaten twice in the regular season--really fucking sucks. We started at 9-2, but then won only 10 of our last 19.

I didn't say he should be fired. I also don't think I need to add an 'and' to saying a coach's winning % is .391 in the month where you play your biggest games

There's only 1 logical conclusion if you take that statement at face value.

I sort of doubt Gene is going to hold it against him given the extenuating circumstances (losing a year to COVID, the injuries this year, etc). Should he be better? You'd absolutely hope so. Is this roster in anyway built to withstand the spate of injuries in the here and now? No one's is - even Dook or UNC or any of the other actual blue bloods would struggle missing 2 starters, a spot starter and 2 key role players. What can you do at this point?
