THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Kosta Koufos would rather be a Buckeye than a millionaire. At least for a year.
The 7-foot freshman -- and presumed next NBA lottery pick in the Ohio State men's basketball program -- confirmed yesterday that he plans to play for the Buckeyes this season and not professionally in Greece.

When will jo be telling us about Sullinger or is he going to keep that a secret for a while:wink2:

I truly believe we're looking at another Final Four run with Kosta manning the middle, however, I believe our offense will be much more wide open and the slower half court pace that we incorporated last season with Oden will be used only sparingly. Kosta's ability to move in and out of the lane as well as his amazing ball handling and passing only makes things easier for Lighty, Butler, Wallace and Buford to slash the lane. Can this seasons team gel like last years did? Can the freshmen step it up from the beginning and be counted on in crunch time? All questions that we'll have some fun answering this season.

Isn't KK projected as a forward?
i would like to place a moratorium on all discussions about whether kosta is a 4 or a 5. with hunter and koufos in the game, the line between the power forward and center positions will be so skewed that the distinction will be negligible. we'll see an amoeba offense next year, with so many ball screens, pick-and-rolls, and back cuts that they will send defenses into tailspins. seriously, next year's offense is going to be funky.

ehh... let's just call kosta and othello 4.5s. that is a 4 plus a 5, which is then divided by 2.

I get the feeling on campus that people don't realize how much fun the team is going to be to watch this year. I'm really looking forward to it, and already have my season tickets (and Florida ticket) purchased.
