Per Urban's press conference the following Monday:
Corey Linsley, Jack Mewhort, Jeff Heuerman, Philly Brown and Evan Spencer are Ohio State's offensive champions for the Illinois game. The offensive players of the week were Carlos Hyde and Andrew Norwell.
• Noah Spence and Ryan Shazier were Ohio State's defensive champions. Michael Bennett and Joey Bosa were the co-defensive players of the game.
