Premier League (Official Thread)

Yeah, Ian Darke said that he and Stewart Robson would be covering this summer's Confederations Cup.

I guess that means that Steve McManaman is gone. I knew he did work with Al-Jazeera in Europe (along with ESPN, when there was an ESPN). He probably signed full-time.

Such a great & talented player, but just completely wastes all of that with his antics. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last we've seen of him at Liverpool. It would be a tragedy for the club for sure, but something needs to be done. Clearly he hasn't gotten the message yet & I doubt he ever will as a Red.

Given the fact that Liverpool condemned the length of the ban, I doubt they get rid of Suarez, unless he wants out. They're willing to stick behind a racist, biting bastard, just like Chelsea stood behind a racist in John Terry, and United stood behind someone who kung-fu kicked a fan in Cantona.

I wouldn't. :tongue2:

LOL...the site informs me 'YMSSRABG' to you again..even though I haven't hit you up in awhile. Not sure why that is..but given your response let's just agree that my props are far more meaningful than any rep points.

And if you disagree....then good..Spurs fans aren't worthy anyway. :tongue2:

Did Steve McManaman leave ESPN?

He isn't on the ESPN broadcast again. I know NBC and BeINSports (Al-Jazeera) are acquiring a lot of talent for next year (and since ESPN is no longer a network in Europe).
Looks like McManaman's still with ESPN, for now. He did the Manchester City v. West Ham match today on ESPN2.

Spurs get by with a draw on two of the most undeserved goals I've ever seen. They bossed the first half, but looked slow and clueless in the second half. They were lucky to have the ball go in for the equalizer, but then rather unlucky to not find the net at the death on a wild scramble in the box on the rebound of a Bale free kick. I never really bought the idea that Spurs truly controlled their destiny after the Man City result - they were never going to win out and were going to need some help. I had hoped at least they wouldn't drop points right away to give them a margin for error later.

Spurs in the attack were like a boy who can't figure out how to unfasten a bra. Gotta give credit to Wigan - they looked inspired in the second half (as a team in their position should have been.) They were running all over the place, closing players down and playing lovely counterattacking football.
