QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

CJ can learn the reads. He does that, then he is exactly Barrett with a bigger arm and a stronger body to tackle. He isn't that much slower than JT. And he doesn't go down easy.

That's what I thought/hoped we'd see against Oregon. As it turned out, obviously, we didn't and it wasn't necessary. Maybe he can't run the read option at a high level, I don't know. Would be awesome if he could, but I think he should take that arm to the League instead of sticking around and trying to be something he's not. Ball-out, Big Fella!

Ultimately, no one knows who will be a good NFL QB and who will not. There is no science. Cardale may be, or he might not be.

1. Let's face it, UFM made a mistake in redshirting him, and tOSU made a mistake in gray shirting him.
2. I don't think we have any early enrollee QBs, so we are out of QBs for the spring game. I guess collier will play for both Scarlet and Gray. And we will have to use a walk on for the second team, and another for the scout team.

No, Jones makes Meyer's system run better. His arm strength and accuracy lengthens the field more than either Barrett and Miller do, and thus allows Elliott to run better. You don't think that Zeke magically happened to run off three straight 200+ yard games against top defenses (except Oregon's) by coincidence, do you? Tell me you think we were going to score 52 offensive points against Wisconsin or 35 offensive points against Alabama with Barrett at QB.
On the flip side, you have a brand new QB and as a play caller decide to go heavy run. And you have a team that steps up their game to compensate for the lost QB. The offensive line were straight up dominant in those games, and Eze ran like a wild man. I don't think you can attribute that to the fact that Cardale was the QB. Other than the two items I said above.

This

RBs will be drastically improved with CJ back there. He's accuracy on deep balls pulls safeties. It's great. JT doesn't have that.
The deep ball threat won't be there as much even with CJ back though. Devin Smith was the man and many times made Cardale look good. Devin was a once in every 10 year deep threat. Cardale coming back can't replace that all by himself.

First of all he didnt have the grades to get into Ohio State out of High School, so explain how they made the mistake? second of all how did they make a mistake RSing him when he clearly didnt look as good as he does now?

Because its my opinion that its not, why dont you take your own advice and get a grip, guess what im allowed to think Millers arm strength blows, i dont care if you agree or not.
I don't take issue with your opinions, pal. I take issue with your abrasive way of getting them across. Anyway, you're giving me a headache. I'm done with you.

I don't completely buy that, because if there aren't obstacles, goals, rewards placed in front Cardale he might have been out of the program after two years for being a knucklehead. Same could be said of Michael Thomas -- would he have been driven this year if he hadn't lost PT last year?

It's simply impossible to know.

Before the surgeries, the consensus from most NFL scouts was that Braxton's arm was plenty strong. Arm strength was not his issue throwing the ball before the injuries. It is well documented. I am going to take George Whitfield Jrs word on the subject?

“Braxton has one of the biggest arms in college football,” Whitfield told the Columbus Dispatch. “I know people see his speed and his playmaking ability. But I am talking about, he’s got rare, rare arm talent.”

Here, ladies and gentlemen, is a prime example of someone who is so insecure that they can't put in perspective that they are so adamantly defending their outlandish opinions on an internet message board that they've become riled up by others offering disagreements.

My hope is that you're just some sad teenager with an inferiority complex and will eventually grow out of the "I will PROVE to you I'm SMART" phase.

My fear is that you're, by technical definition, an adult with such a shitty personality that this is the kind of stuff you find worth your time and effort.

Either way, when your time here is inevitably over (again?) I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Being a truly shit person is a hard road to overcome.

No, no, no. We're all the problem. This is a community with posters that have been interacting for a decade in many cases, but the new guy getting in pissing matches with half the people currently posting is in the right here, dude.

Did this guy previously post as someone else? He seems strangely similar to about 20 other usernames that pissed off half the board and then was either banned or stopped posting.
