QB Devin "Utah" Brown (Official Thread)

Many people said Devin out performed Kyle. Just that there were concerns that naming Devin the starter would push Kyle out the door.

Then it happened anyways lol… it’s too bad Devin didn’t get much of a shot this year. Here’s hoping he makes it count this game and doesn’t look back.
I didn't hear that. I remember Kyle being too safe and Devin having more wow plays but was more turnover prone.

They went with Safe hoping they could coach him to take more shots while keeping the turnovers down vs trying to cut back on the turnovers

Meanwhile the kid at scum who wanted to be a Buckeye as a kid and is prone to turnovers, beat the Buckeyes. Sometimes, being too safe is unsafe.

The safe approach ended up backfiring. All great quarterbacks are risk takers. Watch any game on Sunday. The margin between a touchdown and a turnover is very small. You need a guy with the balls and the confidence to think he can get that touchdown.

Yeah CJ man when he threw that one in Indiana and every was like what were you doing? And he's like I missed I could still fit that in there ball placement was the issue not the idea.

People watched the tape and was like CJ 3 guys were there you never should have thrown that.

But gunslingers have that mentality. It doesn't matter how many people are there if I make a perfect throw

People really didn’t get this? Am I the only one who ever watched The Hunt for Red October?
We're probably getting to the age where it's an obscure reference.
Cortez burning the ships shouldn't be obscure (even if its more likely a part of lore vs actual history) ... Honestly I didn't even associate it with The Hunt for Red October

It was just a joke. The irony being (I thought) that even if you only know that from pop culture in our age you are still well ahead of the curve today.

Same here. Hunt for Red October is one of those movies I will watch every time I run across it, and I can't count how many times I've seen it. I don't remember the reference from the movie.
