QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

And winning on the big stage. We have some prime time games coming up as well as a possible 1 vs 2 matchup with that school up north and the B1G Championship game. If we go undefeated and he plays like he is capable of, he gets the Heisman.

Bingo. Troy had a terrible game at Illinois the week before scUM. Nobody cared in the slightest after he torched #2 scUM the week after

I really could care less about winning the Heisman, but he better pick up his game if we're going to go to the promised land.

Yes, National Championship first, Heisman second. I do care about winning the Heisman. It looks good for the program and would be great for J.T.

As for picking up his game, there are a lot of moving parts that go into the passing game. I have made this comment since I have been on this board. I can't see what the receivers are doing down field watching the game on TV. Are they getting open and he is not seeing them? Were they covered all game? Bad play calling? I can't just say "he" needs to pick up his game. He did rush for 137 yards. That is part of his game.

That was the poorest played game I have seen from JT (including VTech). But every player has an off game and I am not even a little worried. He has played lights out this year and has in the past, he'll bounce back and keep playing like the stud that he is. Nothing to see here, carry on.

Not sure I can agree with a 21 point win being a worse game than a 14 point loss. And when a win comes via a 230 yard game with 2 touchdowns from your quarterback and people say it's a bad game you know you are talking about one of the all time greats. In fact that's exactly what JT will finish his career as: the GOAT quarterback at OSU.

Which brings up a interesting point about both JT and Meyer too. Just get a win baby.

JT always gets big praise from Coach for his decision making abilities. It's funny how much concern the fanbase has after the Indiana game. Maybe it was the wind. Maybe JT just wasn't seeing the field. He obviously missed a few deep balls. What happens? JT and coach just decide to play the odds and take a W. Thats all this cat does....get W's. What more is there?

So when you have a team like Indiana who coach clearly respected, who showed glimpses with their offense of scoring quickly, when your offense isn't clicking and you have a great punter, why not just get the W? I know the fans don't like it and all but yet everyone loves them W's.

JT is great because he knows exactly what to do to win. Sometimes it's pretty. Sometimes it isn't. But it's the mark of a truly great leader.
