QB Kenny "the old righty" Guiton (WR Coach Wisconsin)

Sounds like Kenny is the kind of quality kid Tress likes to recruit. The coaches must see a guy with lot of talent and potential to make an offer at such a key position. Sounds like a solid addition to the recruiting class.

Welcome to the Buckeye Nation Kenny!!

Uh yeah... up there with Northwestern. You saw what I was quoting, right?

We're all on the same page here fellas.

Not trying to pick a fight, but a few years back I know Rice was listed as one of the top math and science schools in the US, mentioned in the same breath as Cal Poly and MIT.

This kid is thrilled to be a Buckeye. He's the exact type of person we want here and I'm glad to have him. Welcome to the Buckeye Nation Mr. Guiton! :osu:

:groove2:

I love to get guys like him. Those who just love to be a Buckeye. In the end, that passion and pride for school will show when they get on the field, those kids always play a little harder.

Don't want to get too far off topic here, but last I saw Northwestern was rated as the #12 undergraduate institution in the country by US News & World Report. Rice is a great school too, but I don't really think your distinction is worth making. Point is, with interest from both schools, Guiton is obviously a sharp kid.

Looks the part of a Northwestern style, spread QB all the way. Great feet. Quick(but low) release. Nice ball placement and accuracy.
Smart, athletic kid from a very talented school. Needs to put on muscle/weight, but that's doable. Nice find by the staff.

wow that school is loaded

He runs hurdles for the track team, so that old 4.9 forty time has to be out-of-whack.

And the fact that he's also the starting point guard at a school with 18 seniors that will sign Division I LOI's next week is a good indication of his athleticism.

ya that 4.9 made me laugh. I'm sure OSU wants a fast lineman playing QB.:) Thxs A slow hurdler lol
If I was a kid at that school and was at least 2 year starter. I would like my chances for a schollie somewhere a lot. If some kid starts as fresh/soph he has to be on everyones list worth watching big time

Or it could be that his coaches are timing him right. When you think that a ten flat 100M is really moving, that a forty has to take in the start, aren't you a bit suspicious of a 4.2? Or even a 4.9? This would seem to indicate to me that sprinters get slower after their start.... Consider that Devier Posey ran a 10.87 in the pre lims of last years Div 1 finals... If he ran a 4.5 in the first 40 meters that means he ran the final 60... out of the blocks and presumably at top speed, in 6.3. I ain't buying it. Closer to running a 6.3 in the first 40 and a 4.5 in the final 60.
