QB Kenny "the old righty" Guiton (WR Coach Wisconsin)

Taylor will be transferring soon, I have no doubt, and I don't blame him. If I were Kenny and don't see even a hint at playing time, I would be transferring ASAP as well. The QB situation is all kinds of messed up, and if KG hasn't seen the field ahead of Bauserman yet, he probably won't.

Reports suggest that Kenny G was actually warming up with about 3 minutes left in the game, which suggests to me that the staff wants to use him as a super-duper secret weapon.

Fickell seems to be making the right choices...it only takes him about 3 weeks to figure it out though. He finally named Miller the starter. Guiton warming up last night. It's like he is scared to pull the trigger.

Bollman said if Braxton isn't available next week, they have to consider Guiton as a potential starter.
THANK GOD!

Ok. Maybe I'm missing something here. I try to be positive. I try to say things like "the staff knows more about this stuff than I do so I am obviously wrong."

If Guiton is now the potential starter next week based on NOTHING from last night's game, then why the motherfuck is Bauserman in the game at all?

If Bollman really said that, and I have no reason not to believe the above poster, then Guiton has gone from 3rd team to 1st team based on...what??

If this is truly the case then why was Guiton not in the game last night? Why was he not the back up and on the field once Brax got hurt? I'm stumped. If Bollman made this comment then that means he has seen enough in practice to feel comfortable making Guiton the starter next week if Brax can't go. Yet he put Bauserman in last night to go 1 for forever and throw the ball 20 yards into the sideline.

Again, I'm stumped.

After a couple of series with Joe I would have absolutely gone to KG. He didn't need to even pass. We could have shoved it down their throat just like they did to us with KG's ability to run the ball, Hyde and Hall...

I think Bauserman earned a shot from his MSU comeback. He wasn't great but he was alright. After a few series of the old struggles, running the read option with Kenny would've been better than nothing.

From an offensive perspective, I imagine it is difficult to transition from a super mobile quarterback to a quarterback that is essentially a statue in the pocket. Different blocking etc. At least with Guiton, you go from mobile qb to mobile qb.

I'm sorry, but that was no "comeback". It was a garbage TD in the last 10 seconds against a defense that was already celebrating. How many times does Joe B have to look less than mediocre before everyone agrees that is the best he can do for us?

LOL are you saying a TD vs. a prevent defense is not impressive? I also wonder how Joe would look if the college game was only 7 on 7 drills

#1 reason why Guiton should be back-up option #1.
