QB Kyle McCord (transfer to Syracuse)

I have a strong feeling he was notified that tOSU, is in fact, looking to the portal for a QB and at a minimum it’d be an open competition this spring.

I don’t think the McCord’s liked that very much.

I have to say…..while there was improvement throughout the year, his footwork is not good at all….point blank. Coupled with his lack of athleticism, I just don’t see it….and I don’t think Day does either. It’d be one thing if his mechanics were the n the ballpark of CJ Stroud, but it’s not even close.

I wish him the best but am also fairly satisfied Day has handled this in a very direct manner and recognizes the issue at hand.

Based on the comment from TreVeyon below, i suspect he may have had a bigger injury to his ankle(s)/feet than any of us know. Injuries can have a major impact on things like footwork and athleticism, just look at the difference in TreVeyon between last season and this season.

It was implied by the beat writers that the Ankle has been a issue for months. I was hoping he would heal up in bowl prep and we'd finally see what he could do healthy in the bowl.

But c'est la vie.

Agree with everything, except the last sentence. The first interception was on Kyle, and it was just brutally bad. The second interception is on the interior line getting blown up into oblivion.

That first INT was absolutely what we could not have happen though. It was a back breaker that gave them a easy TD and caused us to have to play from behind the whole game.

Considering he presents absolutely no threat with his legs whatsoever, it isn't exactly "good"

We went from arguably the best offense in CFB every year Day has been here to just an above average one this year. It's not hard to see why.
McCord wasn't CJ but the offensive numbers had as much if not more to do with O-line being subpar

I don't know man. The goal at osu the last decade is 1st rd running backs, wrs, and QBs. It's a high standard for sure, but this is OSU not Michigan or Pennstate
This was McCord's first season as a starter. Who's to say he wouldn't develop into one down the road. Is Henderson a 1st round RB? Is Egbuka 1st round WR? If not, is anyone bashing them?
