QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

FINALLY!!!:osu:

Let him play Coach!!!

Kyle Boller is garbage....always has been, always will be.

Here are Troy's numbers from the 2 minutes he logged tonight:

3/5 33yds, 1car 6yds 1TD

He looked pretty good for someone who is supposedly undersized. Plus Madden sure was giving him some love.

If #10 wasn't playing for an egotistical, dickhead of a coach he probably would be starting at this point.

Way to go Troy!!!! I haven't jumped up and down in my living room like that since your last game in the Shoe...

I will say this once again like I did when he was behind Zwick in 04'.

If you give him ONE chance it's over... If they just started him one game Troy would be their QB because he would not let anyone pass him. Just like Madden said you can tell he is such a good football player. The way he drops back, the way his body language is, just everything to me screams he'll be a good one. Does anyone else sense that Troy still has "IT" even in the NFL??? I know it was their back ups, but Troy was playing with back ups as well... I for one would just love to see Baltimore give Troy some time in the games the rest the way out.

GO TROY!!

I completely agree. I have a friend (non-Buckeye fan) who was in the military and overseas last season and really hadn't seen Troy Smith play much. He watched Troy take 5 preseason snaps and was instantly sold that Troy was going to make a fantastic pro. This kid isn't convinced easily about things of this nature. Tonight, Troy looked every bit as good as he did against college competition.

totally agree.... My best friend (Va tech fan, so he can blow me on this one) said he thinks Troy won't amount to anything as a pro. You know he might be right, but only because people won't give him a chance because of the dumb sterotypical comments about Troy like "too small". I think it was a shame he fell so badly in the nfl draft, but if any of the 31 teams give this guy a shot to start he will shine and shine BRIGHT. Watching him play in the last 2:28 it felt like the Ravens finally had life and that that offense finally had a reason to play. Like someone said did you see how everyone responded when he scored?? He seems like he's really well liked in that organization thats for sure. Now all they need is to have that fuck billack to realize the season is OVER now you need to build for your future, and having Boller (who signed a 1 year contract and will be gone after this year) as the starter makes ZERO sense right now. You need to find out if Troy can do something with your team when none of those oher QB's could.

Darn it!! Watched the game till midway through the 3rd quarter. Turned it off after the announcers stated that Bellick would have Boller play the rest of the game and Troy would not see the field. :(
Thats what you get for not trusting Boller .

ain't goin to lie windgate watching him play made me feel like it was last year all over again... just hearing Madden rave on and on about him made my night because I finally realize he is't going totally unnoticed. I think with AJ Hawk that Troy is def. my favorite Buckeye player or else I wouldn't have looked forward to his 2:28 of playing like I did! haha I was pissed that fuck Brian Billick didn't make that decision sooner.

thank god troy is in. I had a feeling that if it was a blowout today that he'd get a couple plays. I can't believe at the half that billick said Troy would only be in if the starter got hurt. 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles and they keep him in. Pathetic.

Good luck Troy.:oh:

:io:.

Congrats Troy!

I don't understand why the Ravens aren't giving him more chances.

Granted, he was playing against a backup defense (but still had to play with a backup offense) he still looked very in control. He needs more snaps.

BTW, the crowd sounded like it got really loud after Troy's TD. I know there were only like 2000 people left, but every single one of them seemed to be turned into instant Troy Smith fans.

The smile on his face was pure Troy. He ran it in, and he had that goofy grin on his face like he's in his back yard when he was 12 playing two-hand-tag with his friends. It's almost like he doesn't care that he may never see the field again, he got his opportunity to shine and took it.

I hope they give him more chances, he deserves it and will make the best of every snap he gets.
