Rank our games this season

Still fortitudinous
I think this is dissimilar enough to the thread predicting our season record so as to warrant a new thread. Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's take on what they thought would be our most difficult games to win this season. Note: this is not necessarily the best teams we will play, but what games will be most difficult to win, thereby factoring in things such as which is the home team, what time of year the game is played, and what time of day the game is played. Here's what I think, from most difficult to least:

1. UT
2. at scUM
3. at Penn St.
4. Iowa
5. at Minnesota
6. Miami
7. Michigan St.
8. at Indiana
9. SDSU
10. Northwestern
11. Illinois

A few comments. First, in regards to UT over scUM, even though it's a huge rivalry and it's on the road, I don't think that scUM has the talent that it has had, plus we have the Tressel factor. Additionally, UT has better talent and will think it is playing for that elusive NC--I think they'll be ready. Second, in regards to why PSU is so high: it's an away game, they always play us tough at PSU, and it's a night game. Also, I think they'll be out for some redemption after a couple years of being a Big Ten punching bag. Third, in regards to Iowa being only 4th, I think we'll be very hungry after last year's loss in Iowa City, the game's in our backyard, and I really don't think Iowa's that good. More could be said here...

1. scUM
2. Texas
3. Iowa
4. Penn State

All the rest are tied for 5th.

There's no way that beating Texas but losing to scUM would feel better than losing to Texas but beating scUM. That's why scUM is #1 on my list.

1. Texas
2. @Michigan
3. @Penn State
4. Iowa
5. @Minnesota
6. Miami
7. San Diego State
8. Michigan State
9. @Indiana
10. Northwestern
11. Illinois

Texas gets the nod over The Game because of its historical significance. Penn State is clearly the most dangerous road game other than Michigan. Iowa is our toughest home conference game. These four games are clearly at the top. I gave the road game at Minnesota the #5 spot because Mason plays us tough up there and it's a conference game. Miami and San Diego State will give us tougher games at home than Michigan State, Northwestern (we're gonna fuck them up), and Illinois. And at Indiana goes without saying, although playing them at their place is a little more dangerous than Northwestern and Illinois at home.

yeah.....im real scared of the Mountain West's 4-7 juggernaut.......in the Shoe.

Well, 2003's 6-6 SDSU juggernaut flat outplayed us in The Shoe, and we had Will Allen's 100-yd TD INT to thank for our 16-13 knee-knocker win. And last year's SDSU 4-7 juggernaut, to whom you're referring, played Michigan very tough at The Pig House 24-21.

As Samuel L. Jackson said, "Don't fuckin' blow this shit off...".
