RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

Not sure about that..... Even Michigan knows kids will have until Feb to back out if they wanted to. The most tactful pressure tactic they can use is... spcae is runnng out..... but in this case I think they know Dunn would say, "Ok" and move on.

This is why the Kalis commitment and change is baffeling to me. There was no rush for verbal. If he wanted to be a Buckeye, he would have said I am commited to no school at this time. I have a hard time believing they were able to pull the "you better reserve your spot now" even though they are pulling in a very nice OLine class.

If I were the Michigan coach, I'd play a lot of angles to get a recruit to commit early, including the "sky is falling" at OSU angle and the numbers game. Then if I could get his verbal commitment, I'd direct him to the Ohio State message boards so he could see what fans have to say about him now that he switched to the dark side.

I wouldn't wory much about February at that point.

True, but any staff can do that. I wold point any Michigan recruit and have them look at their boards and see what they have said about some of their current playyers that are still on their roster.

Back to Dunn, I think he is handling the situation in a fantastic manner, regardless if he ends up a Buckeye or not and doesn't seem to get caught up in the sky is falling agenda.

Dunn will be at the Michigan BBQ this weekend. I don't think it will be enough to sway him...he will continue to monitor OSU's situation and I still think he sticks with OSU assuming their are no bowl bans coming.

Ya but regardless, even if we get like a 2 year bowl ban, if he red-shirts he will have one season of no bowls. I don't understand why he (or any recruit) would want to leave when by the time they make the starting lineup, we would be back in bowl and national championship contention.

still OSU's to lose, but he may also take an official to Michigan in the fall and will probably take officials to Penn State and Miami. I think you'd rather be in the position OSU is than the other schools- but it's not over until the fat lady sings.

Just curious, don't red shirt players get to go to the bowl too (and participate in everything else but just doesn't play in actual game)?

I think so, but what I'm getting at is he will still have 3 eligible years to play in bowl games, and actually PLAY in them. I don't think he'd be missing much missing 2 bowl games early in his career.

Only July

Who cares until the last week of Jan. My prediction is that if OSU wins this year we will have an excellent class. If we do not win this year and hire a big name we will have an excellent class. Just remember what you do during the Hokey Pokey dance and apply it to recruiting. Put your commitment in put your commitment out and turn yourself around and picture Kalias at mid field at TSUN. No worries..

I can just hear the conversation between Dunne and Kaylis at the UM BBQ.

Kaylis: I refused to be punished for what others have Done.

Dunn: You are the stupidest dude I ever talked to, how did you get into ST. ED?

I expect us win in Ann Arbor this year, and I really hope it's an embarrassing route.
