Except turn them in to the NCAA, and punish them according to NCAA guidelines. You know. Other than that. We've practically done nothing to these guys.

He already served his punishment. What this team sorely lacks is leadership. Boom has demonstrated this attribute more than any other person on the team. If naming him captain helps fire the locker room up for the Wiscy game, then name him the F*ing captain and kick badger ass.

You don't have be named captain to lead. Herron threw away his chance at being a captain in title by his violations, but he can still lead just the same.

Agreed.

Would the NCAA care who Ohio State names as captain? SHOULD they care?
I don't think they should care, but they do a lot of things they shouldn't, in my opinion.

Not piling on but it sounds like Boom has been helping the younger backs in practice and took the scout team role as well as could be expected. He made mistakes and sat half his senior year for them. He doesn't have to be named captain to be a leader and if people continue to live in the past and not move forward it won't matter anyways.

Yea it’s all ok now after the first 5 games he cheats again, that show’s great leadership skills in my book!!! We had a guy run for over 100 yards the week before and the staff turned their back on him for this guy. Not saying he shouldn’t get any carries just should never be a starter or captain on this team along with the rest tat5.
People just want to win and don't care how they get there.
Just bring on the new staff!!!

If the NCAA has a problem with OSU starting Boom, being a captain, or the amount of playing time he gets then they should have suspended him longer. Now that he's back are they not supposed to use him because it sends a wrong message? I like Hyde he's going to be a great RB but Boom is better now, and they play to win. Why not get mad about Adams coming in and starting, same situation right? They made mistakes and paid the price so now they are even with the house.
