RB Daniel "Boom" Herron (Official Thread)

If the NCAA has a problem with OSU starting Boom, being a captain, or the amount of playing time he gets then they should have suspended him longer. Now that he's back are they not supposed to use him because it sends a wrong message? I like Hyde he's going to be a great RB but Boom is better now, and they play to win. Why not get mad about Adams coming in and starting, same situation right? They made mistakes and paid the price so now they are even with the house.
:osu:

and my complaint was that Adams did make his one mistake. Boom got suspended twice. Right or wrong......that was making the same type of mistake twice. Again it could have just been the ncaa flexing its power against us but many on here were upset when Boom and Posey got hit again with additional punishment. Just didnt think Boom should have started.....sent the wrong message to JH and CH and seemed to me like something Kelly would do at nd. Go Bucks

A solid two weeks of practice to get ready for an extremely tough test against an undefeated top ten team. Yet the debate over who started at RB against Illinois is still on going...:shake:

Move. On.

Agreed. The only explanation is it's a bye week and people have no new material to discuss.

Debate the following statement all you want, but fullback Zach Boren stood behind his words in praise of Ohio State teammate Daniel ?Boom? Herron.

?Boom is one of the best running backs in the country,? he said, referring to the prodigal senior tailback. ?He?s always going to be out there going 110 percent every single play.?

Herron a captain

The Buckeyes added a fourth captain for the game, running back Daniel Herron. He joined center Michael Brewster, defensive lineman John Simon and linebacker Andrew Sweat for the walk out to the coin toss.

Though Herron missed the first six games of the season because of an NCAA suspension, a team spokesman said coach Luke Fickell has been impressed by the senior?s inspirational leadership. In Herron?s first game back, two weeks ago against Illinois, he rushed for 114 yards.

Seeing Boom in tears and so emotional before this game was such a great scene. I'm a ridiculous Buckeye fanatic, but the parent in me saw a kid who'd made a big mistake and paid heavily for it. I felt terrible and wonderful for him all at the same time last night. So many of my non Buckeye friends love to talk about how these kids are just a bunch of cheaters and thugs...that's crap...they're just kids and they make mistakes. I'm loving the redemption and excitement Boom has brought back to this team and am really happy to see him get a second chance.

Way to go Boom! Keep the hits coming!
