RB Erik Haw (official thread)

I wonder what UCLA fans think of this addition to the team? I wish EH the best of luck and hope he gets a chance to shine- unless of course we should meet up with him in a Bowl Game. Its a shame he didn't get the opportunity he wanted, but transferring is probably his best option of playing time. Good Luck!!

Hopefully we won't be playing UCLA in a bowl game any time soon.... :p

Good luck, Haw. Sorry your career as a Buckeye didn't work out. Please don't end up like Jaja Riley though.

Best of luck Eric. Always feel bad when a RS transfers and loses that second year.

This leaves us with plenty of talent, but not much in the way of numbers. That has bitten us before. S&C coach change could be significant here.

I guess God had a change in plans

"I feel really if you start something you should finish it, wherever you’re at," he said. "God wouldn’t put me here at Ohio State for me to change course. "I will reap the rewards of being patient, I feel like the time will come when I’ll get my chance, and transferring is definitely out of the question."

Hahahaha

UCLA Fan's opinion

Eric Haw seems like a very speedy player. We do not take any off field disturbances well at UCLA at all. He will probably be on a short leash if he has been in trouble in the past. We needed another runningback, wish we could have recruited one but we will take him if he comes here. I hope he shows up with the right attitude and wants to be a bruin. The competition at runningback will be good for him and our other runningbacks including Chris Markey, and Khalil Bell. These two players are mediocre at best and if he is as good as advertised he should definently get a strong look at being the starter in 2007.

GO BRUINS!!!

PS: I wish Ohio state the best season this year. I have always liked your team.

Thanks, and welcome to the board. Hopefully Erik can perform well for the Bruins in 2007.

I don't think this will be an issue for him. He made a mistake early in his Buckeye career and paid for it. He dug himself a hole that he couldn't get out of, particularly with the level of competition at OSU even before the arrival of the nation's #1 recruit Chris Wells.

The fact that Erik did get on the field in some late games last year speaks to his abilities and his new found work ethic and dedication to football. He's a good kid who just did a stupid thing and paid for it.

Good for him that he'll get a clean slate and an opportunity to show what a special player he can be. If you ask any Buckeye fan about Haw you will undoubtedly hear that he was the one the fans wanted in 2004 when Lydell struggled, and in 2005 when Pittman needed a break. Until Pittman really cemented himself midway through the season last year, a good number of people believed Haw should have been the starter.

UCLA is getting a keeper.

Welcome to the board.
