RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, New England Patriots)

I remember reading this back on Oct 9th and thinking how cool it was that he was on that pace but that it was highly unlikely he'd end up anywhere near that for the season:

On pace for 1744 yards and 16 TD's after 5 games. I know the season is a grind, but Zeke got better as the season wore on in college. If he does that as a pro, he's looking at a record-setting rookie season. Just such a talent, glad I got to watch him in Scarlet and Grey, and even enjoying watching him as a Cowboy.

He's on my Buckeye player Rushmore.

Fast forward 2.5 months:

Currently on pace for 1770 yards and 15 TD. Not a bad little rookie year.

Pretty awesome.

He's a unique back in that he seems to get stronger as the season wears on. It looks like that trait has carried over to the NFL...At least so far. He's just a special player.

Former Ohio State Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott named to the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl
The rookie sensation lead voting early in a record-breaking year.

The 2017 Pro Bowl roster was announced Tuesday, and former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliot was selected for first-team honors after leading the league by almost 100,000 fan votes in early December.

The Dallas Cowboys’ rookie sensation has taken over the NFL, breaking franchise and league records with 310 carries for 1,551 yards and 13 total touchdowns. Elliott also has 351 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. The running back quickly became a fan favorite from his crop-top to jumping into a Salvation Army kettle; he’s brought enough excitement for the NFL to flex several Cowboy games to primetime.

Despite being honored with the Pro Bowl vote, the running back could miss the event-filled weekend with another big game in mind. The 12-2 Cowboys have already clinched a spot in the playoffs, and are one game away from winning the NFC East and snagging a first round bye. Only the Giants have been able to stop the offensive weapon that is Zeke, and he could help the team get to Super Bowl LI.

Cont'd ...

258 yards needed to break the NFL rookie rushing record. Much better odds if Dallas loses and the Giants win next week: Otherwise they'd be fools not to sit him for the last game.

Giants lost tonight, so Dallas has clinched. Unless Zeke can bust three 80 yard runs, don't think he can do it. No reason to play more than a half this week, and he should sit all of Week 17.

Maybe, but teams that have clinched early and rested their starters have looked sloppy and been upset in the playoffs before. Garrett may take that into consideration

VIDEOS: EZEKIEL ELLIOTT REWARDS DALLAS COWBOYS OFFENSIVE LINE WITH JOHN DEERE CROSSOVER UTILITY VEHICLES

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott leads the NFL with 1,551 rushing yards. He has 14 total touchdowns.

Not bad for a rookie, albeit a No. 4 overall pick.

But for all Elliott's talent, he fell into a beneficial situation behind an offensive line tailor-made to pave the way for him.

Elliott recognizes this, which is why he bought his offensive linemen a fleet of John Deere 855D S4 Crossovers, which start $16,099 and can reach speeds of 44 mph.

The internal struggle is real right now. God I hate the Cowboys but boy do I love me some Zeke. I reckon I've watched more Cowboys game than Browns this year.
Was watching the game with my daughters and son-in-law last night, and they all hate the Cowboys...I had to remind them that I hate the Cowboys, too, but will root for Zeke on every play.

To bad they won't let Zeke get the record, but the Cowboys have bigger fish to fry...
