Let me just say starting out that I have served in public capacities in major organizations that address child and family welfare and I have no time for anyone that abuses women. Not a "mistake" punch. Not verbal abuse. Not sexual abuse.

Elliott is innocent until proven guilty. Prosecutors did not go forward with a case because there was evidence that (a) the accuser was unreliable and attempted to tamper with possible witnesses, (b) she had been in a violent fight with another woman that night, (c) and several witnesses reported her saying that she would create a public complaint to hurt him, some of whom she approached to conspire to make him pay money to make it go away.

Zeke has been stupid in the way that he has carried himself and managed his public relations since leaving Ohio State. He is impulsive and a PR nightmare at times. However, this is just a chance for the NFL to demonstrate that it is tough on abusive people, after turning their backs for years on players and coaches who were abusing women.

The NFL Commissioner should take a shower to wash off the crap every time he sees himself in the mirror.

NFLPA requests order to block any Ezekiel Elliott suspension


In the filing, the NFLPA alleges "there was a League-orchestrated conspiracy by senior NFL executives .... to hide critical information -- which would completely exonerate Elliott."

According to the filing, Kia Wright Roberts, the NFL's director of investigations, testified Tuesday that she was the only NFL employee who interviewed the running back's accuser, Tiffany Thompson, during the investigation and that she would not have recommended discipline for Elliott based on what she found.

Roberts told Lisa Friel, who investigates domestic violence cases for the NFL, of her views, but was never allowed to convey them to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell or the "independent advisors."

So the lead investigator - the only member of the team to actually interview Zeke's accuser - recommended no punishment. Somehow, that was omitted from the final report.

It's almost as if someone on that team wanted to look tough on domestic violence and make an example of a rising star. :roll1:

I really don't have a problem with prosecuting women who falsely make claims of domestic violence. I don't mean cases where the bruises are faded a bit, but where it can be definitively shown it was an act of vengeance on her part. Far too many women are beaten up, and any false accusation diminishes the validity of legitimate reports.
