RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

Also, I got word from a "friend" at CPD. Seems that the on scene officers are under the opinion that Mo was heading to take care of the witnesses that were going to testify against him in the morning. For what it's worth....

It's possible. One of the victims lived in Reynoldsburg.

by the way, who gives a flying F if he could have been given a sobriety test. why don't you guys also argue whether he used a turn signal before he made a U-turn in the middle of I-70? Both charges pale in comparison to what he's facing.

Clarett arrested...again

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2544230

Who recruited this guy for OSU to begin with? He had all that talent, every opportunity and just can't keep from screwing up now. Would be interesting to see if he had a clean background before his college days, but after all this stuff you have to believe he didn't suddenly change overnight.

Theres also an article regarding OSU's TE being suspended for the rest of the year, for undisclosed reasons. Anyone on campus have an idea what the cause is?

This just came to thought. Maurice was living up in Youngstown. He drove down last night to go to his court date today.

People are saying that he could have possibly been going to one of the witnesses. But think, he had 4 loaded guns, including a AK-47. Plus I believe they said he had extra ammo. Plus a bullet proof vest.

I don't want to call myself an expert or anything, but would he really need that much fire power, for one or two people?

I think he could've been planning to do something at the court house this morning.

He's a nutjob, who knows what he was planning to do. All these media types that are calling for somebody to help him and blah, blah, blah need to shut the fuck up. Nobody has done any harm to Maurice Clarett except Maurice Clarett. His ass needs to be locked up just like any other thug fleeing the police in a bullet proof vest, with a half empty bottle of Vodka and cache of guns in his front seat would. The only sad part of all of this is the revelation that he now has a one month old daughter that will probably grow up without her father.

Not a bad guess, my personal favorite is that he was going to rob a bank and may have needed to shoot his way out

Good point, unless the witnesses are in a protection program or he knew they were packin', the AK would have been just a liiiiittle bit overkill. :tongue2:

The totality of the circumstances test still requires evidence for probable cause on each and every element of the offense.

I agree with what you are saying, but I fully believe that there was probable cause to administer the Intoxilizer if they had wanted to. Based on what they had and Ohio's implied consent, I have no doubt that it would have been perfectly legal and justified.

Having said that, I also agree that we will just have to agree to disagree on this one. Wish we could have done this one in court.

I wasn't there. You weren't there. The police officers, based on statements made to the media, didn't give a breath test because they didn't have probable cause. Now you can't get any better backing for an argument than I have there. You can say they didn't give the test because they had other charges, but the statements from police are what matter to me, not your assumption.
.

Can you give me a link that has the statements from police that say they didn't have probable cause to administer a breath test? I haven't seen that yet.
