RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

So, I tuned in expecting to get significant exposure to a man who was, for a brief period, pretty high up in the world of college football, who pissed off a lot of college football fans, and who precipitously fell out of the public eye, and I did . . . but enough about Paul MaGuire.

Played a lot in this game not many carries. They are way over dependent on Garcia who looks washed up most of the time. Just tackled his own guy in the endzone after they scored a late touchdown to take the lead though. You can see he loves being out there.

Shit Devon Lyons, Shawn Brady, and 4 schools made him look like a joke on freaking Pros vs. Joes... once upon a time he was decent in the WC offense. He's over now.

Omaha Nighthawks running back Maurice Clarett saw his first extensive professional playing time at running back Saturday night, running five times for 12 yards and catching a pass for six yards in the team?s 20-17 home win against the Sacramento Mountain Lions.
?I felt real good, glad that I could contribute in some way to our team?s win,? said Clarett, who played in just his second professional game since helping Ohio State win the Division I National Championship following the 2002 season. ?I was a lot more settled down from the start of the game. I had put two good weeks of practice together.?
The entire football routine is coming back to Clarett, who prior to coming to Omaha hadn?t been in a football team environment since being drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2005.
?Everything comes down to preparation,? he said. ?As long as I continue to listen to the coaches?everything will progress the way it?s supposed to.?
Clarett said the support he?s received in Omaha parallels that in Ohio, as far as football is concerned. And he has an appreciation for the United Football League as a whole, as well.
?I think it?s a great league,? he said. ?I?m really enjoying it.?
Next up for Clarett is another first - his first road game as a professional, when the Nighthawks travel to Las Vegas October 8 in an attempt to stay undefeated.
?It will be great,? said Clarett. ?It will test our character on the road.?
