so... given miyan's issues and tre's issues even with splitting the load (and a reasonable bunch of carries for hayden)... how is corum managing to hold up?
this is the big head scratcher for me.
corum has 227 carries YTD. williams and henderson and hayden *together* have 286 carries ytd.
is corum THAT much better and stronger?

EDIT: williams has 117 carries, henderson has 96 carries, and hayden has 78.

There’s always some luck involved, but certain guys absolutely know how to run to prevent injury.

Whether it’s diving down at the right time, keeping short, choppy steps in hole, and typically…..keeping the RB fresh.

All of that matters.

Corum is a beast bc he’s so compact and it lends instead to durability. Miyan is compact as well but his body isn’t used to the amount of carries and conditioning necessary. When u get fatigued, is when the injuries tend to happen…..

Our secondary has also been beat up.

somebody posted something about the field turf (assuming the WHAC has the same type?).

WHAC inside and out are likely the same. I’m not sure when they replaced any of the WHAC surfaces, but the last time I was there, I thought that the surfaces were spectacular. I guess, as you’d expect. My son @TheTrojanBuckeye has played on those surfaces and I think he would agree. That said, I would also expect that any newly redone surface would be very nice… it’s hard telling what — even new — is doing to knees and ankles. If memory serves, it was fairly spongy… when you planted, you planted and could cut… but I don’t ever remember thinking that it was grippy like the old astroturf-break-your-knees days.

I think the new turf is just a latest greatest of the old stuff? So short of a bad batch or not adjusting their cleats for new surface vs old I'm not sure that makes much of a difference and in fact probably should be a bit safer as not as prone to wear and tear damage
