RB Miyan “Chop” Williams (Official Thread)

the turf had nothing to do with his latest injury. He got rolled up on during the tackle and suffered an eversion ankle sprain, which is the less common ankle sprain compared to your inversion (or lateral ankle) sprain, which accounts for about 90% of typical sprains of the ankle.

The ligaments of the medial ankle are merged into a broad band of ligaments called the deltoid ligament, which is stronger and more resistant to tearing compared to the calcanofibular ligaments and talofibular ligaments, which are commonly torn in severe lateral ankle sprains.

Medial ankle sprains do tend to heal faster if they are of the grade 1 variety compared to lateral ankle sprains of the same grade, but if of the more severe variety, they tend to linger even longer than your more common lateral ankle sprain of the same grade, similiar to high ankle sprains, and would make a return this weekend very difficult.

Henderson had his week off, time for him to start this weekend. Dallan doesn't have the power between the tackles yet but shows explosiveness getting to and thru the hole and good vision as he seeks daylight coming out of it.

Did you enjoy the holiday inn express last night?

Looking forward to Dallan getting bigger, stronger and faster as he continues to work with Mick. I think he has shown the ability to move the chains on both stretch plays and between the tackles. Good vision, great natural instincts and always falling forward. Also, he doesn't dance in the hole.

But we will need Miyan for TTUN. Hoping he spends this week resting and rehabing. We won't need him for the Turtles.

Look, I have had the internet for a long time (over 20 years if you need to know ) and frequently self-diagnose medical issues...plus I am a wizz using WebMD and Wiki. So you can listen to a "professional" or just roll with me. Chop either has a hernia, a rotator cuff tear and/or has a bruised sternum . You heard it here first.

In all seriousness Mendensa, thank you for the post. Lets hope he is back soon. He has been a beast this year when healthy.
