RB Quinshon Judkins (Official Thread)

No doubt. He’s spent the last few days on Twitter posting about his backup RB, and pointing out his ypc was higher than Judkins (indirectly throwing shade at Judkins). Then he posted a salty clap emoji when Judkins committed to Ohio State. I don’t think I’ve seen a coach post stuff like this.

Joey freshwater is a man child. Dude would probably still rock gel spiked hair, Aeropostale and a hurley cap everywhere he went if you'd let him.

I can't hate on Kiffin - he certainly has his faults, but he is one of the few left that truly isn't afraid to speak up about the issues with college football while also not being an angry curmudgeon like Saban. I appreciate guys like Lane & Chip Kelly for speaking out.

No, he’s not a hammer….similar style to Trey.

I’d say Judkins has a little more shake but less top end speed than Trey.
Exactly how I would describe him and he can be a serious asset in the passing game (not that that Trey can't also do that). I do think Judkins is a little twitchier and decisive, but at the end of the day I don't think that he necessarily brings a different element than Trey. But he does add equivalent talent and needed depth, that's really going to (hopefully) keep Trey healthy and fresh.

I must say, Quinshon in S&G now makes me feel a lot better about our RB room and Jordan Lyle leaving us in the 11th hour for an NIL bag before signing day (screw that nonsense)

Welcome to the Buckeye Family, Quinshon! Really excited to have you join the team, man

Uhhhhhh.... that's what QJ did.

These kids are mercs going for top dollar. Not knocking the hustle, I suppose. It is what it is, but at the same time, let's be real here about verbiage attached to these decisions. I'm hoping this kid comes in, balls and stays healthy. But there's good reason I don't say "welcome to the family" anymore.

And parents on Twitter is a next level problem when you're a player. They might be the worst online offenders of all.

When attempting to speak from a position of compassionate concern, and to convey one's truth, it's important to compose yourself as a man in order to have a respectable opinion. Kiffin can spout all he wants, he still acts like a teenager. And that is why what he says should hold little weight. See the above about the twitter parents. Joey going off for a social media beef with a kid is right up there, or at the bottom, depending on how you'd prefer it to be phrased.

I've clogged up enough of this thread. Going to go back and watch some of the Ole Miss offense and actually have something of football substance to balance it out.

I don't think it's sour grapes per say, but I think there were likely hurt feelings seeing the numbers their big name transfers were bringing in when he has been there longer. An issue many teams have faced. I can't imagine what it took to bring in Walter Nolen for a year, but I'm sure it rubbed QJ the wrong way too.

I get the sense he didn't want another 270 carry season but Kiffin preferred to run him into the ground.

And? I mean, my jeans from Structure and Ed Hardy shirt are in the wash.

I am very interested to see how this different approach is going to work out. New C, QB, and RB all from decent to great P5 schools.

Lyle's situation is not even remotely the same situation as QJ's, but whatever makes you feel better

I'm still welcoming Quinshon to the Buckeye Family, because Quinshon wants to be a Buckeye, win titles in Columbus, make us all proud, and do it big in The League at the next level. I'm just done with the negativity on this board

Look... the bootcut jeans from American Eagle and the K Swiss shoes have you beat. If you really want to go there, we can talk about Tommy Hilfiger painters jeans and plain white tees.
