If Stroud was more mature that 500 yard passing game would have been a win.

I like the idea of Henderson running wild but OSU simply does not have a good enough defense to get into a running game based, possession for possession game imo. They will be playing tsun's game if it unfolds that way and McNamara's limitations become strengths against the OSU defense (only being able to throw short over the middle or out into the flats).

Uh, that was Stroud's second-ever starting game against a then top-10 team. We play Oregon now and Stroud will throw for 500 yards again but this time will have 5-6 TDs...and Oregon won't smell 30 points.

Agreed, we’d probably be lucky to see Treyveon to get 15-20 touches total. It’s obvious that Williams and Teague are the workhorses. We essentially have 1 Reggie Bush and 2 Lendale Whites

Horrible comparison on LenWhale White, neither Teague or Williams compare to the back White was. Obviously he’s been saving Henderson’s legs, he will have at least 15-20 touches because he’s our best back! Other than using Williams in change of pace situations! Henderson will be out there and used in a greater capacity, unless we get in a situation where we are facing a big deficit, the run game is ineffective or we blow them out of the water!

Henderson will get lions share but Williams will still play a lot. He brings a physical element to our running game. That wears on teams eventually.

In what way are they horrible comparisons? You didn’t list any reasons. Williams alone is as good as White, maybe they don’t have the stats, but then again Leinart doesn’t have Strouds passing stats either. It’s not set in stone who will get the most PT, Williams can move the ball and get tough yards which assists with what Henderson can do in breaking big runs. That’s what USC had in Bush and White

You are comparing 2 backs that won’t get drafted to a guy that totaled 57 tds and got drafted in the second round! If he compared to any OSU back it would be Carlos Hyde and Clarrett! The As far as passing stats go, it’s different eras you are comparing, Troy smith won the heisman throwing for 30 TD, no QB will ever win in again with such a low total! I mean why are you even comparing him to a QB playing almost 2 decades ago, that comparison makes zero sense! That USC offense torched everyone and hell the USC offense could do whatever they wanted and only needed his services till halftime in the majority of those games!

I think you are way off base thinking Williams wont get drafted.
