Reds tidbits (2010 season)

Possibly. If you go down that what-if road, if there isn't an error prolonging the inning, then Ondrusek is never pinch hit for and probably pitches the next inning, so we never see Bray and Jordan Smith. Don't remember exactly when Bray got up, but after Nix hits for Ondrusek, every situation afterwards could be managed differently.

and those same players that kept alive that 2 out rally may have created one with 0 outs the next inning. Yet Bray was throwing the same time as Ondrusek. Of course I am not sure he would have pitched in the 8th in a 3 run game, and certainly Smith does not come into pitch even if Bray was used (the only way I see Bray used if is they felt Rhodes needed a day off). It would have been Massett instead of Smith and then Cordero.

Anyway, to LF defense....you don't have to have a big arm like a right fielder, or the range of a center fielder, but you still can't totally suck. In other words, the LF does not need to be as athletically gifted as the rest of the outfield, but you still can't totally blow. His importance is lowered thanks to less of a need for range and arm strength, but he can't even do the basics he is still very damaging to a team.

I'll still take that over Tom Hamilton's calls on fly balls.

"It's a high DRIVE! Aaaa-waaaay back! But it's hauled in! By the shortstop."

Not to mention the depth...

There's a loooooong drive! That could be... caught by the shortstop, two away. (as everyone heads for their dugouts)

You think of that all by yourself? :shake:

Aubrey Huff homers! Giants lead the Cards 5-1 in the 7th.

That slapping sound you are hearing is a fresh set of balls being applied to the chin of the St Louis beeyotches.

Note to Reds-you have to make them pay for a losing streak at this time of the year.
