he wouldn't alone...its always been rumored as a combo package with Jocketty, Duncan and LaRussa.

I personaly don't think we could get that lucky.

Miley never got a fair shake, he wasn't wanted by everyone in the front office.

I'm all for Mackanin getting a shot but like bfool said, 1 year deal only.

I disagree on Miley but it really doesn't matter...you could have God manage, Christ as 1B coach, Buddah at 3B coach with Allah managing the bench...untill they magically impart some pitching ability on this sad sack franchise nothing will really change.

Hey, they spent $30 mill. on Arroyo! :roll1:

Only way they will ever have pitching is if they develop it in their Minor League system. What free agent pitcher will want to throw in that homer-friendly park?

Couldn't of said it any better myself...

So sick of all these interim managers, that have a good half of the season, b/c they have a team that got a new found energy when they are already out of the race and have nothing to play for, then come the next season when everything is back at square one they lay an egg, and don't know how to manage when adversity hits...

McKanin might make a good manager some day, but you know what I don't want to be the team that has to find out that he is not a good manager...

Give me someone that has won before...

They seem to have some young arms in the minors with Bailey and Cueto...

I guess Bailey isn't really in the minors any more...
